A sparrow's meadow

Sunday, 24 May 2009. Hmmm - not getting to the plot three weeks on the trot in May is not a good idea. The weeds are taking over. In fact, I am going to have to tell my Scout Leader that we cannot do everything in May to accomodate his interests as it buggers up mine. Some photos for yer:. This is my onions set that were set out in April. Shallots planted out at the same time. And my first broad bean pods! Thursday, 7 May 2009. Wednesday, 22 April 2009. Saturday, 18 April 2009. A sparrow's meadow: February 2009

http://www.redclanger.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 4 February 2009. Sown Celeriac today. Thanks to Dom's calendar, I am well ahead this year than before. And I have a serious shortage if indoor growing space. I am hoping that my Dad has some room for seed trays in his greenhouse. I sowed some peas (Meteor) in guttering yesterday. I can't fi the guttering in my small growhouse so they are outside. Hopefully, the seed won't rot during this cold spell. Monday, 2 February 2009. Is because there weren't so many cars and property prices were slightl...

A sparrow's meadow: June 2008

http://www.redclanger.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Monday, 16 June 2008. I have prepared some more ground for savoy cabbage, red cabbage and cavalo nero. I shall get those in next weekend and covered with debris netting. I will remember to take my camera too. I dug about half my garlic on Sunday. This year, a lot of it has had very bad rust. The western most rows did not have any more green on so I thought they had better be lifted. These are the. Sunday, 1 June 2008. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://www.redclanger.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 24 March 2009. Tis the day to sow Cauliflower and Calabrese. So I have done - the Cauli is Snowball from Lidl and the Calabrese is just labelled Autumn by Wilko. Sunday, 22 March 2009. Yesterday I put in 10 Charlottes and about 21 Kestrel spuds and dug over my onion bed. I took a photo of my garlic and overwintering onions, 2 rows of potatoes and a head of romanescu. Trouble is, my eldest has lost my camera lead so the photos will have to wait. I have sowed leeks. Friday, 20 March 2009. Today th...

A sparrow's meadow: January 2009

http://www.redclanger.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, 31 January 2009. I haven't been to the plot today - guinea pigs and footy got in the way. But as per Dom's instructions, I have sown some cabbage and put them in the prop - two types so I don't have do to much successional sowing - Greyhound for early summer and Wheelers Imperial for later summer. Never sown them this early before - I may do a second sowing March time too. Sunday, 25 January 2009. It is looking like I might get some PSB this year - unlike last. Sunday, 18 January 2009. A sparrow's meadow: December 2007

http://www.redclanger.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, 8 December 2007. The weather has been really crap today so haven't been to the plot. It takes a lot to make me want to stay inside all day - that's why I don't like winter - I like to be outside. But, pouring rain coupled with strong cold wind just about does it. Sunday, 2 December 2007. Conned by the weatherman. Today, when I was supposed to go to the plot, the weather has been shoite all day. Oh well! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). a man, 40: May 2007

http://2-max.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

A man, 40. Monday, 21 May 2007. Really beautiful weather this morning, cool but very warm sun and the air smelt of the seaside. I then constructed the canes for a dozen beans and planted out a few more sweetcorn seedlings. The morning had vanished. Sunday, 20 May 2007. The Observer goes nuclear. Finally someone was brave enough to say it. Amazing it was Aaronovitch. This. Is a worthy feature, if a bit ironic if you use it to sell newspapers. All of which conspires to keep other stories. However, is enoug...

Love nature and live how you like. The good2grow photo blog. The good 2 grow garden diary. 365 days of gardening obsession. A beautiful early-spring day. I planted 18 Arran Pilot seed potatoes into trenches filled with composted grass cuttings. I finished preparing the rest of the First Early bed: the annual weeds aren't making an appearance yet, but the perennial ones are flourishing in the warm weather. With April just around the corner it feels like now or never when it comes to preparing the soil.

Love nature and live how you like. The good2grow photo blog. The good 2 grow garden diary. 365 days of gardening obsession. This afternoon I excavated a horrible overgrown bed in 'the orchard'. It was covered in meadow grass and couch and had been bothering me for weeks. After attempting to lever the tussocks out with a fork, I gave up and cut them like turf with a spade. Boring but effective, and created enough space for three new crowns of rhubarb (. Needed a proper watering. Posted by terrace max.

Love nature and live how you like. The good2grow photo blog. The good 2 grow garden diary. 365 days of gardening obsession. In anticipation of this extra working hour or two, I moved anything higher than a slug's elbow out of the greenhouse - ostensibly to harden off - but in reality just to make room for some new things to sow. Not boring brassicas or more tomatoes, but nice big seeds like courgettes and melons. And interesting things like couve tronchuda and red spring onions. Posted by terrace max.

Both very welcome. And the purple-sprouting broccoli I'd been waiting for turns out to be white sprouting. Not sure how big the florets should be before I cut them, but I'm looking forward to trying it. Posted by terrace max. Me shallots are showing signs of life mate :o). Love nature and live how you like. The good2grow photo blog. The good 2 grow garden diary. 365 days of gardening obsession. But that's about it. The trouble with trying to grow enough basics for the family is that my allotment is starting to look like a vegetable farm. Hopefully there'll be enough room in the garden to grow something other than spuds, alliums, sweetcorn and brassicas. Oh, and bindweed. Unusually for me and for the end of January, the greenhouse is full of growing things! I've fixed my ef...

Love nature and live how you like. The good2grow photo blog. The good 2 grow garden diary. 365 days of gardening obsession. Another sunny morning to be grateful for not having a proper job. I rehabilitated a bed which will house a neighbour's onions (long story) and hopefully my turnips subsequently. I should be thinking more about what's following what I'm planting now, but there's enough to consider. Posted by terrace max. Gawd, I am waaayyyyy behind! Morning Max, morning babe! The great start to the growing season continues. cool, but not freezing, at night and sunny most days. Temperatures in the greenhouse are in the mid-twenties and even the aubergines seem at home there. The amazingly dry conditions are perfect for opening up new beds: I created one just for some Jerusalem Artichokes today. A new variety for me, called. Posted by terrace max. Interest...

|RED| CLAN dutch Battlefield 1942 & vietnam clan

RED was an active Battlefield 1942 clan since 2002. Memorable are the number 1 spot of the Benelux and ofcourse the fun we always had. When BF-V arrived, things changed a bit. We tried to go on, but it didn't last long, it was a good, but short period. Now, as we didn't have the spirit to continue and set up a new team for Battlefield 2, we decided to make RED a community and not an active clan anymore. We thank everyone for their support in the past years. Let the RED LAN's go on! Door: RED Paus Paul.
