Ngorobob House: Life From The Hill: To The Thief at Karibu Fair
http://ngorobobhillhouse.blogspot.com/2015/05/to-thief-at-karibu-fair.html
Ngorobob House: Life From The Hill. Little notes and commentaries from a pink house on the top of a tanzanian hill. Sunday, May 31, 2015. To The Thief at Karibu Fair. Dear Lady Thief Who Stole My Wallet Yesterday. Did you come to Karibu Fair to steal on purpose? Are you working for someone or do you steal for a living? I was pleased that I was supporting the recycling of plastic bottles which choke our oceans, rivers and planet. Did you hide my wallet under your shawl. I wonder when you opened it? It's r...

Making pies | Fumbling Toward Forty
https://fumblingtowardforty.wordpress.com/2011/05/19/making-pies
Obsessions on the Way to the Big Four Oh. May 19, 2011. On my way to work this morning I drove, as I almost always do, through one of the nicer neighborhoods in my area. Thursday is trash day for this part of town, and standard-issue flip-lid bins and bright orange recycling totes lined the streets. I also got to singing “Picking Trash” to the tune of Patty Griffin’s “Making Pies” in my head as I made my way to work. Hence the title of this entry.). I’m guessing some of the pickers resell their tre...

Obsessions on the Way to the Big Four Oh. After two years of highly enjoyable blogging with my oldest and dearest pal, I find I’m unwilling to give up the daily opportunity to write something anything that engages my brain and allows me to express whatever nuttiness might lie therein. I kinda want to keep another blog, I kept thinking. But I have no idea what I want to blog about. Or maybe it’ll be all silliness all the time. I hope not. We’ll see. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Obsessions on the Way to the Big Four Oh. June 17, 2011. Lookit how I haven’t been doing a DANG THING on this blog! That was not the idea. I wanted to post nearly as often on this page as I did on the old one with my dear MK. Yet so far? Part of the problem is that I (clearly) have not really figured out what this blog is going to be. That means my thoughts haven’t yet organized themselves around it — I’m not always thinking about what I’ll post, like I was with the music blog. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

AlmostThirtyThree: Getting stuff done
http://almostthirtythree.blogspot.com/2012/09/getting-stuff-done.html
The ramblings, almost certainly not daily, of a thirty-something year old. I named it sillily (and knowingly). I'm not almost thirty three, I'm past that, but can't be bothered to change the name. Sunday, September 30, 2012. The Big Black Dog is coming with me, she's getting old, I can't leave her. I also can't deny her the joy of living in a place where she will be free to roam, lead-less, her lungs filled with clear, fresh, air, the sky above her stretching further than she has ever seen. These Sunday ...

The ramblings, almost certainly not daily, of a thirty-something year old. I named it sillily (and knowingly). I'm not almost thirty three, I'm past that, but can't be bothered to change the name. Monday, December 7, 2009. A yuletide letter to the big guy. It's getting to that time of year. You know the one - with tinsel, and twinkley lights and stuff. There's something that's been bothering me for years and, this year, I think I need to finally send this letter:. Dear Father Christmas,. It’s now b...

spiritual wheaties: On being okay not being type A
http://spiritualwheaties.blogspot.com/2014/09/on-being-okay-not-being-type-a.html
My thoughts on teaching high school and how I feel about accepting God's grace. (and other ideas that are totally irrelevant). Thursday, September 18, 2014. On being okay not being type A. What is the opposite of type A? My to-do list will always be long but it won't be overly ambitious. As the holidays approach, I think about how I want to enjoy the holidays, not chase them. I tend to think I enjoy life and do well at life, but I did cancel my subscription to Martha Stewart Living, too much pressure.

My thoughts on teaching high school and how I feel about accepting God's grace. (and other ideas that are totally irrelevant). Monday, July 8, 2013. It's been a while. What kind of communication do I provide? What relationship skills are most important to me? How can I best meet my partner's needs in this moment? It's been a while. I finally see the heart in the strawberry. I get it. August 14, 2013 at 1:19 PM. February 25, 2014 at 8:41 PM. Have you quit blogging? April 14, 2014 at 7:31 PM.

My thoughts on teaching high school and how I feel about accepting God's grace. (and other ideas that are totally irrelevant). Saturday, August 25, 2012. The heart of the matter. Are we honest with ourselves? I mean, there are some little white lies we tell all the time, but are we honest with ourselves about the things that really matter? It's hard to do, right? Remember that scene in The Matrix when Morpheus tells Neo to choose between the pills? Links to this post. Friday, August 3, 2012. But I DISCOV...
