Squishtoid: March 2011
http://squishtoid.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
It's squish, or be squished. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Stefan from the Tuesday morning Monotype class has been working with fields of color. This is one of his first abstracts from the workshop, and I like it because it has a very balanced color scheme ( the photo exposure may suggest a brown for the darkest swath; it's actually a rich, wine-y red), simple composition and fresh spontaneous brayer (ink roller) work. Will begin work on that this weekend. Friday, March 18, 2011. His 5 minute monster. But f...

A personal blog that may (or may not) contain content about religion, faith and/or the lack thereof. Are you there God? It's me, the Lazy Atheist. I'm starting a blog, just like everyone else. Let's see how long it takes before I lose interest, or the movie starts, or someone asks me a question. Denver, Colorado, United States. I'm an atheist, and I'm kinda lazy. How lazy, you ask? Squishtoid: December 2011
http://squishtoid.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
It's squish, or be squished. Monday, December 5, 2011. The word "economy" refers primarily to the movement of a nation's resources; and secondarily, to an attempt to spend less. This sums up President Obama's "balanced" approach to stimulus and deficit cutting, in that order. Polls show this agenda is favored by a majority of Americans. Ironically, it's schools and libraries and art museums that are the first to feel the blind GOP hackings, but I promised not to get into that. Here's a few facts. Creativ...

Squishtoid: March 2013

It's squish, or be squished. Saturday, March 9, 2013. And I do see a lot of interesting books there, though during a busy time like this, only in passing. My basic strategy, being poor and of limited bookshelf space, is to note the books that interest me, then type them into the Denver Public Library search when I get home. Stickin' it to the man. Is not exactly redlining the ol' Google Analytics, just as it does with mine. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Promote Your Page Too. View my complete profile.

Thursday, April 29, 2010. I came to these ideas when I read the November 2009 issue of the. Knowledge work can ultimately be judged on whether or not three things occur:. 1) When something successful that never existed previously, is now up and running;. 2) When something successful that existed previously has been improved or expanded; or. 3) When something unsuccessful that existed previously has been stopped. The following lists illustrate the difference between manual work and knowledge work. Less st...

Tuesday, April 29, 2008. The Costumes In Atonement. I was prepared to hate the costumes in Atonement. But when the trailers for the movie started appearing and when Kiera. Knightly appeared in Vogue. The color made the gown so obvious it was kitchy. It seemed to have been constructed of a green so saturated it that the message it sent was vulgar: "If you didn't know that Kiera. That was all before I had seen Atonement. Imagination. At one point Cecelia even calls her an "unreliable witness." Beca...Befor...

Jenni Kissed Me: June 2008
http://jennikissedme.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2008. We saw the Colorado Shakespeare Festival's production of Macbeth. On Saturday night. It was great. It was easily one of the top three productions I've seen at CSF in the past few years. I put it behind last year's perfect A Midsummer Night's Dream. And ahead of The Tempest. From about three years ago. Links to this post. Saturday, June 28, 2008. I wore my cherry-print Betsy Johnson silk halter dress with ruffle hem and red, round-toed Chie Mihara shoes.
