In addition to the website, Shannon also built a physical map of Red Hook, Brooklyn as part of her coursework in the Columbia University Oral History Master's program, which was featured at a public exhibit at Union Theological Seminary on May 1st, 2014. Shannon decided to edit the selected interviews into roughtly four to five minute segments focusing primarily on the narrators' experiences of Hurricane Sandy or a particular experience they had in the neighborhood....

The oral history interviews that are featured here have also been used to create an audio walking tour of the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn called Ambiguous Borders. The audio tour was created as part of Shannon Geis's Master's thesis and takes visitors on a walk through the neighborhood, discussing the history of Red Hook, the effects of Hurricane Sandy, and the complications that have arisen in this community.
