Bobs Bread and Pickles. Sunday, 22 May 2011. A day with Red Hot Sal! Not quite what you think! I spent last Thursday on a one to one tutorial day with Redhot Sal, AKA Sally Carver. In her studio learning the basics of lampwork. She is a brilliant teacher and I learned a lot, all I have to do now is try and remember it all. I don't think it was proper silver foil/leaf! Beach bead with seaweed and barnacle. Spent a couple of hours today on the torch and after pulling a couple of stringers and some murrini!

Bobs Bread and Pickles. Thursday, 16 June 2011. My wife Dianne and I have just had a lovely day out together at the BBC Good Food Show and Gardeners world at the NEC in Brmingham! It was the second year we have been to it and although it seems there were less exhibitors in the food halls it was great. FREE FOOD. Yay! Did the usual trick of sampling the wares as you do, as much as possible, . saves on buying lunch LOL! But ended up with a Hog Roast for lunch. And some blue cheese from the Cornish cheese Co.

I had a rod of Filigrano Bluestone, but again I think I went too hot or did not put enough bluestone on the beads. These are five with bluestone and four plain turquoise etched. On the other hand I have a very good reason as we have been to London to see Chris De Burgh in concert at the Royal Albert Hall last Monday! It was probably the best concert we have been to.
