Rediscovering Baltimore

Wednesday, December 9, 2009. The can be seen when entering Homeland. (Taken by myself). Homeland, Maryland is a small residential area in Baltimore. This neighborhood might be one many people from Baltimore are not as familiar with, especially considering that Homeland was not even part of the city till 1918 when the city line moved (Stevens, 7). Even though that might be the case, Homeland’s development and community have exhibited what suburbanization was like in many American cities. Homeland’s ...

Rediscovering Baltimore: October 2009

http://www.rediscoveringbaltimoreub.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 20, 2009. I found three good primary sources at the Enoch Pratt Library: Homeland History and Heritage by Barbara M. Stevens, North Baltimore: from estate to development by Karen Lewand, and Crowning the Gravely Hill: A history of the Roland Park-Guilford-Homeland district by James F. Waesche. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Tuesday, October 6, 2009. I chose this topic because I am not too familiar with the neighborhood and would like to learn more about it. I feel that this will contribu...

Rediscovering Baltimore: November 2009

http://www.rediscoveringbaltimoreub.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 30, 2009. I am planning on starting to write out all of my findings and research about Homeland this week. I have almost all of the research I need for the final, besides getting pictures from the internet and the Enoch Pratt Library. I think if I do anymore research it will just be getting specific dates and times along with when suburbanization and the white flight exactly began and or was first noted or felt in Baltimore. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Homeland’s scenery has created most of the appeal for people to move there. Even though it is a suburban area, Homeland still has some wildlife, such as foxes, that residents can see on a regular basis (“The Homeland Foxes”). This a picture of a fox that a resident saw in their back yard. http:/ www.homelandassociation.org/Fox%20Dec%202005.JPG. This is a picture of the lakes in 1894. http:/ www.mdhs.org/Library/Images/Mellon%20Images/Z6access/z6-1894.jpg.

Rabu, 08 Juli 2015. Do you really love this town or are you just stuck here? Tapi setelah direnungi lagi. bener gak sih mau pindah? Worth it gak sih? Gimana kalo cuma emosi? They say, everybody is stuck here...

My Rediscovery of Jane Austen | A fine WordPress.com site

My Rediscovery of Jane Austen. A fine WordPress.com site. Emma Approved – First 10 Episodes: The Review. January 9, 2014. I have been very nervous about watching Emma Approved. I loved The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, but I wasn’t sure how a version of Emma would be – especially as a modernisation(well not so modern now…) was done in Clueless. 10 Episodes in: I love it! I think I am Harriet! Oh and Miss Bates. And Mr Woodhouse, most of all! Hope we do actually get to see him at some point. January 9, 2014.

This is a site dedicated to the most important things to me, like love, inner peace, joy, kindness. A site dedicated to people discovering, or re-discovering the wonderous magical truth of who they are. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Remembering where you have come from. A wise friend of mine told me this one - Remember where you have come from. The same sage who talked about balance and perspective. She is gold that girl. A real diamond. An inspiration. So today I start with it. Before I was a Mummy, befor...

Rediscovering Britain | Tales from around the UK

Tales from around the UK. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Pubs of the Norfolk Broads. November 20, 2012. The last couple of weeks have really reminded me of the joys of seasons: I kicked piles of leaves in my wellies, picked berries off bushes, and got wet and cold and covered in mud. But that’s why sitting in front of an open fire feels so good! Woods of beech in full fiery glory. The sun sets through the beech. The season of fire and contrasting wonder. Dancing leaves having a rest.
