Specifically, the six cherry tomato, four bell pepper, three basil, two eggplant, two squash, one mint, one strawberry and one jalapeno seedlings we planted on Sunday in our backyard. We knew when we moved in to our new house that we wanted to plant raised vegetable beds, even if we didn’t truly understand what those were. We’ve been loyal. There is so much promise there – nothing is messy, or damaged, or disappointing. It is fresh and exciting and filled with hope. I thought maybe I should put my money where my mouth is and show some of my recent attempts. Over the past few months I have found myself craving color and have been trying to infuse it wherever I can. Our couch especially needed a color burst. It’s dark green and we’d gone really crazy and put *brown* pillows on it. First I bought FOUR yards each of these two blue stripey fabrics.
