Tambo from the air. Saturday, December 17, 2011. After I graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland Oregon I moved to California and worked at the Wycliffe headquarters when they were in Santa Ana. I bought a small Honda 90 while there and totally loved it. Always longed for a bigger one. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Invitation to leave comments. I would like to have you leave stories about your good memories while attending Tambo High School in Bolivia. Red Lion Man Adventures.

Tambo from the air. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. A letter or remembrance from Nancy Morarie. I remember many of us students gathering outside the radio room to hear what was happening in the tribes. This is a bit of Nancy's story. She quit high school. My dad begged her to use his GI Bill, and finish her education. Mom said, "No, I'm going to. Palm Springs, CA to find out what this is all about.". My dad was so in love with this young lady that he dropped out of college and went along. He could hardly ...

Tambo from the air. Friday, February 6, 2009. In a recent e-mail conversation with Maxine Morarie she told me a little about Howie’s home going. He was very young, having gone on ahead of us in 1994. At the left is a picture taken shortly before Howie's death. Thank you Mark for finding this picture and letting me use it. Below is a bit of the story Mrs. Maxine Morarie shared with me recently. 8220;Yes, It was very hard to see Howie have to leave his family. We plead with the Lord to spare him for hi...

Tambo Memories: June 2011
http://tambomemories.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tambo from the air. Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Words in parentheses are mine- Galilee. In 1967 Jean Bates had invited Sharon Swank and myself to spend the year in Bolivia. I'm sure you remember Sharon more than me as she was closer to your age and I think in her senior year. I was in 9th grade that year. ( My loss, I never met either of you. My first and, in fact last. One afternoon a couple of truckloads of soldiers came driving around and parked on the far end of the soccer field. They were in full ...

Tambo Memories: May 2011
http://tambomemories.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tambo from the air. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Things that stick in my memory as good. I love now, but failed to appreciate the fact that as high school students, every student had a job they did for a month. I was folding sheets the other day and remembered sharing. I don't actually remember any other job I did though I'm sure I was on the roster to do them all. In my book of special poems. Mrs. Lotz reading of it made it come alive. And for Shakespeare, I remember we did. The Taming of a Shrew. Someone h...
