Saturday, June 25, 2011. We decided to give the Sami a much-needed bath before we take it for its next adventure! Edee was more than happy to help when she learned the task involved her in a bathing suit with full control of the water hose! She did a pretty good job of spraying the Sami and not everyone around her! That is until Reed came out! I said, "Please don't spray Brother," and I think I gave her the idea! He decided to join the fun and and the bucket of bubbles was their favorite gathering spot!

Wednesday, July 13, 2011. The go-kart track is absolutely, without-a-doubt Edee's favorite thing about summertime in Red River! Uncle Jamas was visiting for the weekend so Eric and Edee had to race him in their annual 4th of July challenge! This was Reed's view as they came out of the starting lane. It was heartbreaking to stand with him as they rounded the corner! He was trying to climb the fence and crying! I just kept telling him, "I'm so sorry, Buddy! You're just not big enough! Well, boy was I wrong!

Wednesday, March 7, 2012. After a successful trial of gardening in pots, we decided it was time to start a "real garden." We picked out the site with the perfect amount of sun, and Eric got busy cutting boards! I got my workout for the day while digging up weeds and prepping the site. After a trip to Home Depot for some great dirt, we were ready for planting! We also have blackberries, jalapeños, strawberries, asparagus, and an avocado tree planted in other places throughout the yard. Fun in Red River!

Tuesday, February 7, 2012. While Daddy is Away. Eric headed to Austin today for a technology conference, so we have to make do without our Daddy for a few days! Edee chose to nap with every stuffed animal she owns! I think she needed a little extra love! I made tuna casserole for dinner since Daddy is not a fan! Edee ate two bowls full and Reed had three! We dropped Reed off with our good friend, Jamie, and headed for dance class. You mean it even has a butterfly hair clip? I could eat her up!

Tuesday, August 9, 2011. We were extremely excited recently when some friends asked us to join them on a Saturday afternoon for a boat ride on Lake Whitney. We looked up the marina online and discovered that they had an RV park there. After some deliberation (3-5 minutes) and some planning (a trip to HEB), we decided to brave the heat for an impromptu camping trip! Sunday, February 12, 2012. Edee could barely contain her excitement on Saturday! She has been waiting for weeks to attend the annual Daddy/Daughter Valentine's dance! She let me blow dry AND use a curling iron on her hair! That is a first! I gave her a little gold locket that I cherished as a little girl, and she looked like a doll in her new dress from G-Ma and Paw-Paw! Her date looked exceptionally handsome! There were many dances, games and even a conga line with our friends, Mr. Zack and Kenzie!

Sunday, April 22, 2012. Happy 2nd Birthday, Reed! I'm having a hard time believing. That my baby boy is turning TWO! He is still my little snuggle bunny, but his personality is growing by leaps and bounds! He wants to be outside every second of the day! Dirt, rocks, dump trucks, 4 wheelers.you name it! He is ALL boy! Daddy is already teaching him how to wash all the vehicles! He LOVES his sunglasses! Add a sippy and a cup of snacks, and it just doesn't get any better! Too cool on his tractor!

Monday, May 16, 2011. A Very Special Day! Sunday was my grandmother's birthday, and my Ninnie would have been 96. We had flowers in the church in her memory on this very special day.
