Return of the Mek - Red Squig Racing
http://www.redsquigracing.com/post/2014/11/29/Return-of-the-Mek
171; Delays all around. Return of the Mek. On Saturday 29 November 2014, 16:31 - Permalink. This is either an extremely late update for last Sunday or an early one for tomorrow, depending on your philosophical outlook. After an array of different disruptions I've managed to get the Mek finished. I'm quite pleased with the result, even if it did take me ages to get there. I also changed the way I painted the red parts of the Mek. I've written about the problems I had highlighting red. Name or nickname :.

Sunday 13 September 2015. On Sunday 13 September 2015, 17:25. After two weeks of heavy painting, I've finished the squad of Nobz. Once again I got over-enthusiastic and I've spent the last week telling myself they'll be done in the next couple of days. I would like to say that I'm really pleased with how they came out, but I ended up having a bit of an issue in the final stages that took the shine off them for me. Sunday 30 August 2015. On Sunday 30 August 2015, 13:34. After the Nobz, I had intended to p...

171; A (minimal) CAD. Year (and a bit) in review. On Saturday 8 August 2015, 23:48 - Permalink. The first anniversary of this blog slipped by without any sort of recognition. Once again, I'd completely fallen out of the habit of regular painting, to the extent that I didn't do any at all for well over two months. I'm trying to get back into it now, and I thought I'd look back over my progress since I started posting here. In my last post. In one of the early posts. Squads of boyz, and the Warboss. They p...

Saturday 28 November 2015. On Saturday 28 November 2015, 17:16. Well, I'm finally writing up our trip to Warhammer World. We arrived on Saturday morning, a bit ahead of the friends. The Trukk with enclosed cab. And the Badab War books. After having the unit he was accompanying shot out from under him, going to intercept an outflanking sentinel all on his own and one-shotting it with his Kustom Mega-Slugga. We played until they closed, then decamped to the pub. Horus Heresy book. I really like the loo...

The random ramblings of a female 40K player. Zone Morktalis part 3: Six done…. Oops… →. New Year New Resolutions. January 7, 2015. 1) Sort out my painting and modelling. I also want to expand my Wolves, first by finishing highlighting the models I took to Haven and then by building up my forces, including four more Blood Claws (to bring my squad to the maximum 14) and three more Grey Hunters (to bring a part squad to 10). The random ramblings of a female 40K player. Pleading sickness →. A little side project: Blood Angels Death Company. November 30, 2012. Sorry for the lack of posts over the past week, I was overseas and I left my laptop at home. I did some reading and some planning and sometime, when I’m more awake, I’ll talk about both of them. However, I meant to post these pictures before I left, so they’re first in the queue. I don’t have transfers for Blood Angels so I had to paint the Chapter symbol which is ...

The random ramblings of a female 40K player. Zone Morktalis part 2: Marking Up the Squares. Zone Morktalis part 3: Six done… →. Blood Angels Painting Guide: two ways with red. December 10, 2014. I’ve painted Blood Angels before for my boyfriend, namely two Death Company Marines. And with the new Blood Angel Tactical Squad and codex on their way I thought I’d try out two different recipes for red- one using oranges for Blood Angels and one using pinks for Flesh Tearers. Red 1 (Blood Angel). Glazes were al...

The random ramblings of a female 40K player. The Joy of Kitbash part 3: Weapon Swaps. 500 points Space Wolves versus Orks →. Blood Angels: Painting Mephiston Lord of Death. June 12, 2013. I mentioned recently that I had a box of Blood Angels to strip and repaint for my boyfriend. There’s a nice mixture of troops and HQs and a few other odds and ends. The random ramblings of a female 40K player. Newer posts →. Wolf Guard Battle or Pack Leader. November 2, 2014. I’ve finally got round to tidying him up and here he is, ready to go. I love this sculpt, it’s so full of character and it’s nicely done too. Some of the older sculpts really look their age but he’s been skilfully designed and I love his face! I’ll try to post something before then but I may be busy so, until next time, then! Brother Agaric of the Brotherhood of the Mushroom. October 28, 2014.

The random ramblings of a female 40K player. New Year New Resolutions. Getting ready for Warhammer World in October: part 1 →. August 8, 2015. Well things didn’t exactly go as planned. I was hoping to get blogging seriously again months back and then well, life didn’t happen. However, things are picking up now and I have a plan. The first part of the plan is to get ahead and have a post or two ready and waiting (working on that now), the second part of that is to have a hobby goal. One response to “.

Red Squiggly Lines
Blogging about the colorful, the quirky, and the oddities we miss or are sometimes lucky enough to observe. Well, Red is my favorite color- ask most people I know and they wouldn't guess that. Why? I'm pretty straight line- hence the squiggly lines- a bit of opposite always makes for good reading. Straight, but very observant, and most often a little bit "What the #$*%? When I really open my eyes and mind.

Monday 10 August 2015. Imperial Armour 8: Raid on Kastorel-Novem. On Monday 10 August 2015, 23:07. One thing that occurred to me after reading IA8 was that it invites comparison with the Waaagh! Ghazghkull supplement. Weighing the two up against each other really shows Waaagh! Ghazghkull in a poor light. Both of them have background material and 8 missions, although IA8's missions are more tightly linked and include a few more innovative features than Waaagh! Sunday 9 August 2015. The inner conscience monologue is now the screen–. That writers voice, but this leaves you. The reader, the observer, unprepared and jarred–. What does this mean for you, this inner world that you now view? You are alienated, a foreigner, in someone else’s space. Time is a law that is forgotten. There’s no place for it here.
