Friday, April 6, 2012. We had a fantastic week with students from Montclaire, West Valley Middle School, and Rainbow Montessori School. What a fantastic group of kids, and I will miss you all. Most of all I will miss us bopping through the woods singing this:. Soon, all the kids were humming it together, and I even tried beatboxing with it. (Didn't quite sound right, but it was cute.) Thursday, January 27, 2011. Two accounts of yesterday's night hike. The night hike is usually my favorite part of the week. Countless teachers have come on my night hikes, but in almost five years no administrator has ever observed one of mine. Night hikes are transformative, but don't take my word for it. Dark yet light is what I saw on the night hike. The moon and stars guide my way,. But the trees hide the sky. I learned about courage, responsibility,. And trust towards nature. This is why I loved.

Red-Tailed Hawk Nest 2009-2015. The Red-tailed Hawk family has succeed in having two eyas. Very hard to see them but I can hear them and see them flapping around high in the nest. Thursday, April 23, 2015. Red-tailed hawks on Nest for 7th year. Within a couple of weeks you will not be able to see the nest due to the leaves. Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Red tailed hawk yeas have arrived may 6, 2014. So very excited. Not sure how many. Usual 2 or 3 yeas each year. Both parents very nervous so only stayed a moment.
