Exciting stuff. Sadly George has now passed away but we love this picture and it reminds us all of a very happy day.

Water birds such as tufted duck, shoveler, gadwall, coot and great-crested grebes may be seen at any time, although numbers are highest during the winter months. Quarry Walk is the proud owner of an interpretation board, which was kindly made by Stephen Mason from Letchworth who came all the way to deliver it in person. It looks fabulous, and it is wonderful to think that it has been made by recycling the wood from an old farm gate. Huge thanks to Stephen for his kindness, what a star!
