Inside is one 20x2.125 bicycle inner tube and some cornstarch (makes it easier to position the tube in the bag.). It doubles over under your Roach cover, still giving you two layers of air from only one inner tube. Ideally, you drill a hole in your seat base so the valve stem of the inner tube sticks out the bottom. Then you can adjust air pressure externally with your hand pump. Now put a *little* air in the inner tube (just enough to fill the tube, not enough to really pressurize it), and go for a ride!

This was Hannah's birthday present when she turned 2 (Nov, 2000). Built from a $37 bike from Wal-Mart. It was never been ridden. I tried to ride it by hanging on to the seat (it's so short that it's REALLY hard to sit on), but I only managed to ride about four inches. Eventually I scavenged the hub for another project, so it is no more. 16 spoke steel rim (spokes from the bike were used). 26 inch cranks (cut and re-welded from 4-inchers). Suzue 36 hole hub. Ears is my favorite frame that I designed. It has improved footrests and smashed-tubing tire clearance. Note the slightly ovalized section of tubing just to the sides of where the tire tread will be. This allows for good tire clearance while keeping the overall width down. Weight: 1.49 lbs as shown. Seat tube: 6" long, 1.0x.058 4130. Crown: .875x.035 4130. Legs: .875x.035 4130. Tire Clearance: 0.6 inches above, 0.27 inches each side* . Total frame width (measured at crown) : 4.8 inches.

Lightweight Chromoly Frame #1 with Mud Clearance. This is the frame finished June 16, 2001 for Jeff Lutkus. It's for a 24x3 Gazz and Suzue hub. Weight: 1.56 lbs as shown. Seat tube: 7" long, 1.0x.058 4130. Crown: .875x.049 4130. Legs: .875x.035 4130. Tire Clearance: 0.6 inches above, 0.3 inches each side* . Total width: 5.1 inches. Design criteria: be as light as possible while only allowing 0.1 inches of lateral flex during steep climbs. Model analysis used: twin cantilever beams attached to seat tube.
