Feliz Ano Nuevo desde Costa Rica. January 1st 2010, main street La Fortuna, Costa Rica. We are now recovered and in the Arenal Volcano area where we went horseback riding and zip lining over the jungle, and this afternoon we´re about to go waterfall rapelling and canyoning. The last few days will be spent diving. It is such a beautiful country and there is so much to do here, impossible to fit even a quarter of it in two weeks. Food is good, lots of beans and rice and hot sauces. Links to this post.

Away With The Fairies. After leaving the Drakensberg mountains, I went on to Durban, which is an obligatory stop for the Baz Bus travellers on their way to Capetown. I walked the (smallish) town, saw some amazing temples, shopped at the night market, did some small chatt, mostly moved around really slowly, and ate some good food. I could've stayed another few days easily. The town, situated between two rivers offers physical beauty, old temples, monks in orange robes, and lost in time feel but also great spas, restaurants, bars and guest houses.
