Kestell's blog: December 2007

Thursday, December 06, 2007. Bethlehem - Place of Bread. So I acted the role of a tourist in our Christmas production. I think it was quite an interesting angle on the whole Christmas thing. Very different than the usual 3 Wise men angle. One of the main themes throughout the play was that Bethlehem means Place of Bread. And that Christ uses the metaphor of bread for his body. So Christ's body is the church, but Christ also compares His body with bread at the last supper. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Kestell's blog: Eng vs SA cricket
http://kestell.blogspot.com/2010/01/eng-vs-sa-cricket.html
Monday, January 18, 2010. Eng vs SA cricket. So we are at the end of the series and the result was 1-1. England won the first test quite convincingly and since then South Africa had to catch up. The second test in Durban was drawn, with England 9 wickets down and still a long way off. So was the third test. I think that Graeme Smith should have received the man of the series award, and ultimately wasn't because of this controversy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, May 24, 2009. So it turned out to be a VERY good thing. Last blog post I mentioned passing my level 2 renewal exam. Turns out I am the only level 2 in South Africa that did so. This is good. Because suddenly my chances of being sponsored to go to pro tours went from "the level 2 who is living in George, 430 km away from any real magic" (the irony of that term is beautiful, isn't it? To the judge who drives 430km just to judge regionals. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Monday, July 07, 2008. Trying to circumvent subscription. Trying to circumvent the subscription fees of dating sites is something that has a certain appeal to it, at least for me. Google is our friend, but I think that even a mention of google is probably edited out. I for instance, put quotation marks around a part of my profile, which, if googled (in quatations), will hit my blog. If we spread the word silently, we might manage something. Kestell's blog: Very nice weekend.
http://kestell.blogspot.com/2009/03/very-nice-weekend.html
Monday, March 02, 2009. I had an awesome weekend. I drove through to Somerset west and saw my family. My girlfriend (Shirley) and I had lovely times, and then we went to my sister-in-law's 30th birthday bash. I am truly happy that Shirley and my family get along so well. My weekend ended with me, passing my level 2 renewal test, despite the fact that I haven't judged in ages. Ovely times, eh? Well done on the level 2 test. I've been so out of M:tG lately that I wonder if I'll get by the level 1.

Tuesday, March 13, 2012. So i have created a spreadsheet which:. 1 Creates the log from the results. 2 Assists me with my picks by making a sensible prediction. Based on statistics. The first two weeks on superbru was awesome for me, getting 6/7 right each week (unfortunately missing out GSP each time) and getting 10/14 games withing the 5 point margin. The third week i got 4/7. It makes one think you might start to bet on this. Saturday, March 03, 2012. Thursday, March 01, 2012. View my complete profile.
