Icons of the Ordinary-the Photographs of Richard Rees. Most of my images are taken from the streets of lower Manhattan. I think of them as icons of the ordinary. My purpose as a photographer is to reveal the wonder and order and sacredness within the apparent chaos of our everyday world. None of the images are manipulated or arranged. Fun in the Pool with Mom and Dad. Oh, how I love thee, Fox in Socks. Playing at the Zoo. We met up with Brian and Nathan downtown and took the MAX to the Zoo. It was really relaxing. All we really did was: buy fudge, see the otters and warthogs, see baby Samudra, play on the grass, eat fudge, and play around with sweet Liam. It was a lovely afternoon! Liam has been smiling a lot lately and we are LOVING it. This is one of my favorite shots of my boys. I love how strong B looks holding Liam. Pea in a Pod.
