http://susaniverson.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Queen of the Beach. Moving on to the rest of my life, loving, living and being happy. Sunday, October 25, 2009. It's not hard for anyone who knows me to figure out which one of these is mine. Check out the new profile photo. I don't care how bad the Cougar football team is this year, I still bleed Crimson! I will continue my love of the holidays which I think kicks off with Halloween. Maybe some of the joy of this time will rub off eventually. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Gig Harbor, Wa. Day Island, WA.

Queen of the Beach: November 2009
http://susaniverson.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Queen of the Beach. Moving on to the rest of my life, loving, living and being happy. Wednesday, November 4, 2009. I'm a week late in posting about this amazing trip but here goes. We took off from SeaTac early, 7:20 am and amazingly American Airlines was on time. What that meant was that we were treated to one of the most spectacular sunrise views of Mount Ranier. The pictures don't capture the awe of it all but it's the best I can do. The WSU president, Elson Floyd was there and. Of course, so was Butc...

Queen of the Beach: Personal Quests

Queen of the Beach. Moving on to the rest of my life, loving, living and being happy. Saturday, May 22, 2010. So, you can imagine the difficulty I faced trying to get started running. I have to say, the very first week basically confirmed my fears. I was completely embarrassed by the fact that I couldn't jog 60 seconds without breathing hard. What happened? I used to be so active, able to do just about anything I wanted. It's not just age, is it? I am now scheduled to run in a 5K on June 13th with my son...

Queen of the Beach. Moving on to the rest of my life, loving, living and being happy. Monday, June 22, 2009. The measure of success. Father's Day has come and gone without a post from me. Unusual, you say? I agree but it was a great day at the Mariner's with a 9th inning win! I have posted on numerous occasions the importance of a great man in my life, my dad. I will continue to miss him as long as I live. We lived fairly modestly with the boys growing up. We didn't lack for the necessities but we di...

Queen of the Beach: March 2010
http://susaniverson.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Queen of the Beach. Moving on to the rest of my life, loving, living and being happy. Saturday, March 27, 2010. Spring Training.and so much more! I can now call it a dream fulfilled. I went to Spring Training 2010 in Arizona and it was everything I wanted it to be. What I did not expect was the time not spent at the games to be so special. First of all, the weath. First day: This was the day I had waited for. Mariners game at 1:05. Was to become a great show. Griffey. E runs. Griffey. Caught it. If I...

Queen of the Beach: Happy Father's Day
http://susaniverson.blogspot.com/2010/06/i-know-lots-of-dads-and-every-one-of.html
Queen of the Beach. Moving on to the rest of my life, loving, living and being happy. Sunday, June 20, 2010. I know lots of Dads and every one of them is amazing, each in their own way. But the one who is no longer here is the one with whom I measure all others, my dad. I've written lots about my dad, before and after he passed. But every Father's Day I feel this void that really can only hurt less by writing about him. Have you ever wondered what your first real memory is? Gig Harbor, Wa. I am a 57 year...

Queen of the Beach: August 2009
http://susaniverson.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Queen of the Beach. Moving on to the rest of my life, loving, living and being happy. Monday, August 24, 2009. Yesterday would have been my mom's 87 th. Birthday and it was my 29 th. Wedding anniversary. It was the perfect time for a family get together. While the weather could have been better, the sharing of family stories, music, food and fun and games was perfect at Twanoh. It is always a special day when I get to spend it with family, including both my sons! The football, played catch with a baseb.

Laquo; Chicken-Orzo Soup. Update Your Bookmarks – Steph Cooks is moving! Quick Spiced Grape Jam. August 4, 2010 by Stephanie. I got a bunch of local grapes last week from Greenling, but they weren’t very sweet and were full of seeds. So, I had to find a way to cook them, and fast, before they went bad. I adapted this recipe from the Wild Grape Butter recipe that came in the Greenling box ingredient list last week – I just made some tweaks based on my own tastes. Quick Spiced Grape Jam. Pour pulp and juic...

Sausage-Stuffed Squash | Steph Cooks
https://stephanielo.wordpress.com/2010/07/29/sausage-stuffed-squash
Laquo; Egg Casserole with Roasted Peppers, Roasted Tomatoes, and Feta. July 29, 2010 by Stephanie. There are two failproof ways to dress up a food item that you are either not so fond of or are tired of eating. One involves covering the item in question with cheese. The other, invariably, involves sausage. We had epic stuffed squash. If you have any leftover sauce after stuffing your squash, save it to top spaghetti. After the squash finished baking, I spotted some Pure Luck. 1 tbsp olive oil. Preheat ov...
