Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Guest post from my Dad! His latest soup creation. The first guest post to the blog! I had a bowl of my Dad's newest soup concoction (he's infamous for throwing whatever he has in the fridge into a pot and seeing what happens) today for lunch and thought it was too yummy to keep to myself, so I asked for the recipe and he was willing to share it right here on the blog:. For those of you who don't want to read the play by play (and I don't blame you, doesn't everyone just want the pretty picture of the end product) here's a finished shot:. And here are all the details:. Last weekend we found an old window gold mine! To add the weekly calendar effect, we bought chipboard letters at Michael's and tra...

House of Payne: May 2012
http://ahouseofpayne.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 25, 2012. Last Sunday Adam and I found a little mecca for antique collectors, vintage furniture lovers, crafters and anyone who just appreciates something with a little (or loads of) time-worn character. We spent the day at Lucketts Antique Store. S Spring Market in Leesburg, VA and the two hour drive to get there was oh so worth it! Here's what we brought home, but trust me, if we were just a little bit less disciplined, we'd have had a whole car full of finds! I think I might spray paint it...
