Edge of Paradise: Extreme's
http://mustangpilot.blogspot.com/2007/05/extremes.html
Just a few pilots notes from my time working with Airserv International. Monday, May 28, 2007. The second night we joined our passengers in Djolu. A small village about 180 miles west of Kisangani. Thick jungle surrounds Djolu. In every direction. There is NO electricity in the entire town, and certainly not cell phone coverage. I knew the night was going to interesting when after we landed a local NGO. Staff member took me on a dirt bike. What once was a school, and women planting their. We passed the n...

the word on my street: March 2007
http://lainrae.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 8, 2007. Yesterday was my last day of class for spring quarter. Now just a few exams to tuck under my belt and I'm ready for a week of spring and fun. It's hard to believe that after four more quarters, they're going to let me be a nurse. A real one. One that gets paid and everything.it's going to be glorious. PS Neuro floors are where people go when they have brain, SC related injuries and have become too stable to stay in ICU. Sunday, March 4, 2007. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

the word on my street: First Girls Trip of 08
http://lainrae.blogspot.com/2008/04/first-girls-trip-of-08.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2008. First Girls Trip of 08. A few weeks ago Megan, Rachel and I went on a little girls weekend to the Washington Coast. Turns out it was REALLY cold and actually hailed the whole time we were there, but we made the best of it and had a smashing time dancing, drinking wine, and combing the beach. We paid for all of our meals in sand dollars. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The word on my street. We Know How To Make Sausage! First Girls Trip of 08. View my complete profile.

http://mustangpilot.blogspot.com/2007/07/we-arent-in-congo-anymore.html
Just a few pilots notes from my time working with Airserv International. Monday, July 2, 2007. We aren't in Congo anymore! We are flying for the UN here, funded via USAID in support of the many development projects in process here. Your tax dollars hard at work! Road construction, dam building, and water systems are just a few of the many pieces of the pie. Well hope all is well with everyone! Till next time,. That sounds like too much fun! Friday, March 23, 2007. Alright, for an update: I am now slated to leave for Entebbe, Uganda tomorrow morning. I will be met there by an Air Serv pilot who will take me to Goma, DRC on Sunday. Things are a bit more stable there. And the best part of it is, I get to hang out with Mr. Bontrager again. Whahoo! Hopefully the next post will find me in the DRC. Still in the RSA. Tuesday, April 15, 2008. We Know How To Make Sausage! Well, this last time, we hosted and picked "things on sticks" for the theme. I'm not one to brag (yeah right) but Ryan and I took the blue ribbon. Or we would have taken the blue ribbon if we were giving out blue ribbons. First Girls Trip of 08.
