Sunday, July 31, 2011. We're all guity, including myself. You see your 4-year old child playing quietly (or loudly! The light is perfect. The situation is perfect. You grab your camera. And then you say "BOBBY! Bobby runs away. Or he smiles in such an akward way that you know he's just trying to get the camera out of his face. After all, our mothers and grandmothers did that with us, so it MUST be the correct way to take pictures, right? Well, right. Kinda. Not really. If so, great! My main point in that...

Reflections by Rosie Photography: April 2011

http://reflectionsbyrosie.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 20, 2011. How to make ANY photo look better, regardless of your camera or its setting! Since there are SO MANY areas of photography to discuss, I wanted to follow up with an article on how to get better pictures, REGARDLESS of which camera you have. When most people go to take photos, where do they typically place the main subject? Well, that is right.sometimes. Here's a grid that will help me illustrate this point:. Try to think outside of the box of putting your subject in the center a...

Reflections by Rosie Photography: January 2011

http://reflectionsbyrosie.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 24, 2011. Thai, My First Texas Maternity Model. It was a cold and drizzly morning in Clear Lake, Texas. I had asked Thai to meet me at Clear Lake Park at 9 am It was supposed to be sunny out; but the Gulf Coast weather held out. On the "con" side, it's RAINY. And cloudy. You can't use a lot of the park's benches, etc., because they are wet. Ugh. I was hoping for a model who would serve as a stark contrast against this weather; and boy, did I get one! My favorite shot came toward the end o...

Reflections by Rosie Photography: March 2011

http://reflectionsbyrosie.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 22, 2011. I always love spending time around couples whose feelings for each other are clearly evident. This couple was sent to me by a referral (thanks, Stacy! And I was excited to meet them. Their story about how they remet online after first meeting each other years ago made their eyes sparkle with excitement about what the future brings. Best of all, they were so NICE! By the end of our session, I felt like I had known them for a lot longer than the one hour that we spent together!

Reflections by Rosie Photography: May 2011

http://reflectionsbyrosie.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 20, 2011. Looking for Light: Open Shade. For this month's post, I will start discussing how to look for the best light opportunities under which to take your photos. Again, this is one of those areas where you can apply this knowledge behind ANY camera (DSLR, point-and-shoot, even polariod! How can we make sure that we minimize the photography faux-pas? The first way we can do this is to place our subjects in open shade. Where can you find open shade, you may ask? Well, that's open shade!

Poems essays. emotions. reflections. Travel To Angeles City. Thursday, June 26, 2014. Lord, Let It Be Her. Lord, Let It Be Her. Your will, not mine. Before You, I stand. With the purest intentions. And an honest heart. Lord, let it be her. The one who’ll hold my hands. Fill my heart with love. Until the end of my life. But if it can’t be. Then hear my plea. Let my heart be frozen. And my eyes be blind. 8216;til the end of time. Cause I will care no more. For tomorrow to come. June 26, 2014. June 23, 2014.
