Reflections of A Collegiate Christian: Christmas Eve

http://www.reflectionsofacollegiatechristian.blogspot.com/2006/12/christmas-eve.html

Reflections of A Collegiate Christian. Sunday, December 24, 2006. On a sad note, I realized that of my graduating class at church only three of us are still involved at church. I was deeply saddened. Posted by Jon Canler at 5:58 PM. Thieves and Sluts and Liars. So I was studyin the Scriptures this morning. He Has Made Me Glad. Lexington, Kentucky, United States. I am a sinner saved by the infinite grace of Jesus Christ, and I would love to share with you how you can experience that love and mercy too.

Reflections of A Collegiate Christian. Friday, May 19, 2006. I'll be honest when I say that I absolutely love it when people are held captive to the Scriptures and to God. I mean, what is more exciting than knowing the LORD and seeing Him work in yourself and in others? And this week, I've seen this twice with some of my dearest friends. Posted by Jon Canler at 8:53 AM. Wednesday, May 03, 2006. Thieves and Sluts and Liars. Which Jesus do you follow? Which Jesus do you serve? Cause my Jesus bled and died.

Reflections of A Collegiate Christian. Friday, May 20, 2005. Posted by Jon Canler at 11:52 PM. Monday, May 16, 2005. As I was driving to Lexington from Bowling Green yesterday, I had two hours to think about anything. For some reason I don't know, I ended up thinking about the fetal position. Of all things to think about, this is one that I would call random. Here is what I thought. But then I was thinking, "What if you were in the fetal position with your head facing downwards? Reflections of A Collegiate Christian: October 2005

http://www.reflectionsofacollegiatechristian.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html

Reflections of A Collegiate Christian. Saturday, October 29, 2005. I'll get straight to the point. My pet peeve involves people who claim to be Christians yet live in a world of sin. I despise it! There is nothing that infuriates me more than this. Why turn from sin yet be a part of it again under the guise of Christianity? They want no part in it! Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I'll be a living sanctuary for You. Posted by Jon Canler at 9:00 PM.

This new series will look at my top 10 favorite and top 10 most hated athletes in each of the main sports. Since it is baseball season we will start with that. Gotta love the hometown boy. Strikes out a lot, but you gotta love the way he cocks that hat to the side. A good fielder too. He's still got the stuff . Mad glove skills. Best 3rd baseman in the league. And # 1 goes to.

I used to think I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, but it looks like welfare reform is going to kick in. Therefore, I was wondering what your thoughts were on what I should do when I grow up. Dear Josh (you gave your identity way when you logged in),. What new hairstyle should I go with? Tuesday, November 29, 2005. I Like Bobby Perry. News from my world:. I was completely taken aback by the sheer spectacle of it all. You would have thought it was a carnival or something. And it was all for the opening of a fast-food restaraunt. I found it all to be quite too much. Was there really a need for all the show to attract student customers? Students are gonna come to the Chick-Fil-A because it is the best option in that pathetic excuse for a food-court. It beats establishments such as. Personal...

Thursday, April 27, 2006. Crystal Drags Me to Church. One day, Crystal decided I needed to go to church. I told Crystal I did not, either, need to go to any stupid church. I already went once, and didn't like it. Crystal said if I didn't go to church and get baptized and stuff, that my immortal soul would burn forever in a lake of fire. She said I needed to be saved. Crystal go all red in the face. "We'll see about that," she said. She left. I went down to the billiard room to shoot some pool. Just prete...

George had to trot to keep up with the locomotive. "He wants to see you in the parlor.". George stopped. "You'd better hurry," he called out. I set the brake and turned the throttle down to idle. "George, would you mind taking the engine back to the machine shed? He nodded. "No problem," he said. Daddy, do t...

Tuesday, May 09, 2006. The Second Commandment Preached at Biff. One day, preacher man talked about the second commandment. I guess I said amendment when I wrote about the first one. Wrong word, that. Preacher man told us these are God's orders to humans. He says we're not supposed to make a graven image of anything. I tried to figure out what that means. I thought from the way he talked, it meant like a picture; but there's a big picture of Jesus in the church, so that can't be right. Links to this post.

Why do we speak up? With the unfolding of accusations and charges made pinpointing Pastor Kong Hee and 4 other church management staffs in the breach of trust issue, critics have been thundering. Just a Closer Walk With Thee...

Sunday, March 1, 2009. Verse 17 stuck out the most to me in this passage.  "So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking."  Do you know what futile means? 160;Here are a few synonyms:  ineffective, incapable of producing any result, useless, not successful, unimportant, frivolous.  I don't know about you, but that's the exact opposite. Of how I want to be living. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Friday, February 27, 2009.
