Just some of the thoughts I have. Friday, January 28, 2011. I’ve spent the afternoon sitting next to my mother’s bed as she sleeps. I wonder how many days or night she has done the same for me. I remember the time I had major abdominal surgery and I almost didn’t make it. The surgery lasted 8 hours and was only supposed to have lasted 1. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks and it should have only been 3 days. I wonder what went through her mind during that time as I drifted in and out. Subscribe in a reader.

Just some of the thoughts I have. Sunday, May 30, 2010. I am taking advantage of the 3 day weekend to recharge emotionally and physically while celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Even though we walked about 6 miles today, it is about sleeping in, taking naps and going to bed early. I also hope to don my wet suit and do some swimming out in a lake and going on a 20 mile bike ride at least once this week on my road bike. Pictures, water and words. Monday, March 16, 2015. California Work Trip - Part I. Every January I am a part of a meeting that includes 15 of our supervisors who are located all over the country. Despite our normal objective of holding our meeting somewhere warm, we had planned to go to Pittsburgh this year instead. As soon as I found out, I was already bracing myself for the frigid temps and the potential for logistical issues because of snow. A little time on Hollywood Blvd. What a beautiful drive!
