Living in Soyo. Can it get any better? Friday, January 18, 2013. As I make the postings on my blog, I am very aware….as my son Justin says….once anything is out in the internet….you can never get it back….and so I do my best to make all entries honest and yet positive……and I’m sure by the end of this one, there were be enough opportunities to make this at least with some humor…. Finally, Bryan arrived home at 7pm, he was so surprised….”We have no power? The road is not really passable….so I thi...So I...

http://livinginsoyo.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Living in Soyo. Can it get any better? Thursday, November 3, 2011. Glad to be back to Soyo. Since returning the most obvious changes here are the increase in building along the roads.increased traffic with many new people moving here, the change in weather.now it is muggy and sprinkling frequently but still no real heavy rains.and one great thing! Our roof has been repaired so we will not have a waterfall wall in the guest room! We are so thankful about that! I do feed the birds daily.these are small...

Living in Soyo. Can it get any better? Wednesday, January 2, 2013. I last wrote in October when I was leaving to go to the USA and help my daughter with her final plans for her wedding. I must say that I'm so proud of her. She did an incredible job planning and getting everything done so when I came I went to a wedding shower and helped with a few last minute touches. She had it all done! What a wonderful wedding. Bride and Groom.Amanda and Chris. Milo, Justin and Jeremy. Posted by Margaret Truman.

http://livinginsoyo.blogspot.com/2013/01/snake-alert.html
Living in Soyo. Can it get any better? Friday, January 18, 2013. We received this snake alert today and I wanted to share it along with the photos. I find this so interesting and hope you do too. It was great to be able capture and relocate a large specimen like this as large African Pythons are becoming rarer and rarer due to habitat destruction and indiscriminate hunting. This particular specimen was a female and measured 3.6m in length and weighed 21kg. She will be relocated to an area wit...The good ...

Living in Soyo. Can it get any better? Monday, August 29, 2011. Abundance in the market. Our garden now has one cucumber, 4 okra, the tomato plants are growing but no fruit yet. When the plants are large enough we have the upside down planters to use as the rains will soon be upon us. Surely am enjoying this cooler weather.and the relative quiet of this place. Posted by Margaret Truman. Thursday, August 25, 2011. Lunch at Nempanzu, Soyo. My house girl is helping me with language study. She continues ...

At the end of the service, a couple came to say they were with an oil support group here and were from Cameroon.
