At a Guru Poornima (day honoring the teacher) celebration I attended last month, the speaker (Swami Tyagananda of Vedanta Society of Boston) expressed some instructive thoughts about the qualities of an illumined soul. One of these divine qualities is intense concentration. Music-wise, my own experience suggests that this is true. If my mind starts to drift, I'll sing a wrong note, say the wrong word, not come in "on taal.
