Thursday, 24 February 2011. Today we looked at how ICT games can aid learning within the classroom. We used a Nintendo wii and games "Dance on Broadway" and "Samba de Amigo". Nicole. On trying to create a hole for the sensor unfortunately it broke. One child could use wii remotes and all the other children could use actual maracas and therefore everyone would be involved. Here is my Games Based Learning Powerpoint created online online in google docs. Https:/ docs.google.com/present/edit? One school who ...

ICT Elective Blog: Games Based Learning - A Wii bit too difficult?
http://ictelectiveblog.blogspot.com/2011/02/games-based-learning-wii-bit-too.html
Thursday, 24 February 2011. Games Based Learning - A Wii bit too difficult? For our games based learning input, Keira. And I focussed on using Wii games. In the classroom. Today we were looking at the dance game "Dance On Broadway". And the samba music game "Samba de Amigo". We started with "Dance On Broadway" - busting a move to the 'Timewarp', 'Hairspray' and 'The Lion King'! This wasn't successful as the beads that make the shaking sound were at the top of the maraca! Labels: games based learning.

Sunday, 13 February 2011. The postie is running a little late with my invitation to the Oscars. All of our hard work was finally rewarded this week at the unveiling of our final movies - and not a moment too soon! People who help us. 15 February 2011 at 13:16. What I would like you to reflect upon this week is co-operative learning. Your group worked very well together taking on different roles and rotating these. Look at the theory and reflect how you would manage this with children because thei...Ether...

ICT Elective Blog: January 2011
http://ictelectiveblog.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 31 January 2011. Movie making - oh dear! Today seemed to be one disaster after the next as Keira. To film our movies, we were using Flip Video Cameras. When we set up the first scene ready to begin filming, the camera would not switch on. After pressing various buttons, trying every battery in Keira's flat and muttering a few expletives, three frustrated students traipsed back to the class, feeling a bit disheartened. Sunday, 30 January 2011. Voices of the World. Voices of the World' May Task.
