An almost doctor's blog. Musings about life on the wards. Shaped into the mould of physician. Posted June 6, 2010 by reflectivedoc. An almost doctor's blog. Musings about life on the wards. Laquo; Wisdom Teeth. The mentality of persuation. Have to say I really enjoyed my stint on my general practice run. It was delightfully focussed on the presentation at hand as well as looking at prevention at times. There was a lot of variety – minor surgery, paediatrics, elderly, psychological etc etc. There are inherent frustrations with it but it is an easy way to be part time and enjoy life as well. An almost doctor's blog. Musings about life on the wards. Laquo; Shaped into the mould of physician. Animating times on anaesthetics. I shall update you with the latest adventure. I have finally finished up with GM (hopefully – as my gen med results are awaited…). I was doing well on day #2 of anaesthetics. Day #1 consisted of an introduction with a friendly anaesthetist who was really nice and said ‘ I wont tell you everything as we can only take in so much’. Now I have a 2 year history of dysmenorrhea ...

Cut On The Dotted Line. My quest to be a Christian surgeon. January 26, 2010. Posted by Dr. Alice under medical education. I had to calm one of the medical students down the other day. We were in a crowded elevator, and he was carrying on the conversation we’d started before getting on, about what he’d liked about the surgery rotation so far. 8220;I got to see a craniotomy the other night on call,” he exclaimed. “They let me touch the brain! It was kind of squishy.”. January 27, 2010 at 3:41 pm. You are ...

Reflective Discontent: an artist's journal
Reflective Discontent: an artist's journal. Friday, 3 April 2015. One of the best things about art school is that you get to know and love a bunch of new, exciting and creative people who form a network for sharing ideas, mutual support and collaboration long after the course finishes. One of my best friends and collaborators from art school, Elly Langlois. Is mid-way through a six-month residency at In-Situ. To go and spend a few days with Elly in The North. At the end of the day we retired to 'The Shop...
