Archive for May, 2009. Lament of a Malaysian. When you are in a state of nonacceptance, it’s difficult to learn. A clenched fist cannot receive a gift, and a clenched psyche grasped tightly against the reality of what must not be accepted cannot easily receive a lesson. 8211; John Roger. It’s they versus us now. No good can ever come out from them, only from us. We have become a people divided, not only by the stress of ethnicity but now also by political ideologies. A two thronged damage to our nati...

May 13, 2009 at 16:25. I just made the switch to the Mac-side, and I’m starting to wonder how did I ever connect without a Mac before this. If BMW is the Ultimate Driving Machine, then Mac is without a shadow of a doubt the Ultimate Multimedia Machine. I’m still getting used to the Leopard OS and rather different softwares but is has been nothing but an enjoyable journey so far. Nothing is perfect I guess, though I must say my new MacBook is almost. Cheers! Entry filed under: Fun. Glory Glory Man Utd!

I’m of the opinion that in managing knowledge there are 3 crucial components that need to be linked together to be able to effectively harness the power of knowledge management in organizations. Archive for April, 2009. When it all first begin, the ‘knowledge marketplace’ consisted of limited tribe members who interacted exclusively with one another. Elders were highly respected thanks to their longevity that allowed them to acquire crucial life saving knowledge that younger tribe members needed for them in turn to live long enough to be Elders. This transmission of knowledge continued for centuries even after tribes merged with other tribes, clans and even societies being formed. Then different...

Archive for February, 2009. I just got in NY from Philadelphia where I was attending the Global Leadership Congress (ok maybe not so global as I was 1 of 2 Asians there) organized by CUX. A US based partner of ours and hosted by Wharton Business School. It was a brilliant experience as I was immersed in a room filled with CLO’s and learning heads and filled to the brim with intellectual might. And how Atos Technologies uses video streaming to spread and share knowledge far and wide. And how IBM has s...

As I was sitting on the new Airbus A380 on my transit flight back from Rio de Janeiro upon attending the Rio 20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development, I couldn’t help but be amazed by the modernity of the aircraft: with it’s Wi-Fi enabled flight allowing us now to be truly connected any time, it’s spacious seats, wide screen TV’s and even sensor controlled taps in the restroom.
