A Confutation of the Dutch-Arminian Tenet of Universal Redemption, By Theoph. Brabourn, 1651. Did Christ die for everyone who has ever lived, or ever will live? Did he die for those who were already in hell, while he was hanging on the cross? Did he die for those who would never hear the Gospel, or for those who would hear it and reject it? If he did die for the sins of those who were already in hell, or who would in the future land in hell, what are they being punished for? The Synod of Dort, 1619.

Occasionally I will compile these summaries in the form of a dialogue. I am not an approved teacher in Christ’s Church, and so I do not offer these works as authoritative teachings, but as the observations of a fellow student. Perhaps you will find them useful. The Bondage of the Will. By Martin Luther, 1525. One of the most influential works on the subject of Predestination and Free-Will ever written. It was Luther’s response to the Diatribe. They have a great selection of works to view there. The Synod of Dort, 1619. This is taken from the 1619 edition printed in London by John Bill when it was Englished out of the Latin copy. The Doctrine of Absolute Predestination. Rest assured, the version on this site is free of Wesleyan perversions.

The Life of Justification Opened. By John Brown of Wamfrey, 1695. Of all the Puritan works on the subject of Justification thru Faith , this is perhaps the best. Not only does Mr. Brown thoroughly present the doctrine with crystal clarity, but he also gives a sound refutation of the many unscriptural arguments raised against it. The entire work has been uploaded.
