http://designguyuniversity.blogspot.com/2011/01/setai-hotel.html
January 19, 2011. DGU for the new year and the Setai Hotel. I took a lot of time thinking about Design Guy University and this blog and where it was going and what it's purpose was. And I realized that it's design inspiration with history and a lot of design factoids that they don't teach you in design school, but that you learn through experience by doing or living. The Setai hotel is comprised of two buildings: the restored old art deco building that was once the Dempsey Vanderbilt Hotel opening in 193...

Design Guy University™: March 2011
http://designguyuniversity.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
March 21, 2011. I was listening to the Wallflowers singing All Things New Again. And I was really inspired to reflect, as we all do when Spring comes, how things are and where we're at and what has changed. I just got done moving. I have lost four friends since December. So much growth and moving on. I even felt the twinge of a Spring romance. I love the place I am in my life both mentally and physically and I feel great. Full lyrics are at the end of blog entry]. The architectural features are great.

In the movie, it was just as I had remembered. elegant, serene. One of the outbuildings considered to be a 'wing' of the castle. At that time the...
