alli in transition: February 2011
http://allimcv.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. I thought it was a stroke of luck that the Biggest Loser was on when I got to the gym tonight. How inspiring this will be, I thought. Au contraire! It is dangerous to mix motivational/inspirational television with cardio. I kept getting choked up with every time they pulled together as a team, or a trainer pushed them and then encouraged them. You might as well have put Hallmark commercials on repeat in front of me! Saturday, February 19, 2011. Spaghetti squash is incredible!

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Free soy latte from Panera to keep these cold fingers typing. One 25 pager turned in. One 35 pager getting ready to be turned in in only 3 hours. The next Harry Potter book has arrived and I see much cozying up and reading into the night. It's Tuesday = Brewsday at the Old Mill with treasured friends who will be relishing our new found freedom from these massive papers! How S W E E T it is! Friday, December 3, 2010. Bardo - Coffee House. Labels: cell phone photos. Love you all&...

alli in transition: June 2010
http://allimcv.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 11, 2010. I have a home! After many months of incessant Craigslist searching, calling leasing agents, google mapping, "street view"-ing, walkability scoring, Yelp-ing, etc. I now have a home to call my own on July 1st when I roll in to Denver! It's not the vintage/cottage-esque home I had in mind. It fits all of my needs. The good news: Has hardwood floors! AND it's in a great location (so I am told.). It's so strange and wonderful that I now have a new address! Tuesday, June 1, 2010. When w...

alli in transition: Lent
http://allimcv.blogspot.com/2011/03/lent.html
Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Here it is again. One of my most favorite seasons. This Lent I am giving up sugar and artificial sweeteners. It may not sound like too big of a deal, but Diet Dr. Pepper and peanut butter M&M's have become a delicacy for this sleep deprived grad student. I am looking forward to the countless moments when I go to the fridge for a crisp drink and mild caffeine hit to pause and remember how it is God who satiates and fills. Here are some of Henri Nouwen's thoughts on Lent:. When we...

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Now or never, I decided. Before I could talk myself out of it, I called to make an appointment at Mops Beauty Shop. And 45 minutes later, all of my blonde locks were covering the ground. (May I just add that Courtney at Mops is a genius! SO glad I finally did it. Still figuring out how to work it, but just so happy I did it! Tuesday, March 9, 2010. What's in a name? Those presently closest to me share something very significant. Their name, in fact. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. This Wednesday brought to you by:. Quad Espresso on Ice. Dark Chocolate Covered Pretzels. Friday, May 21, 2010. Untitled. But if it were titled, it would probably be something like, "Gahhhhh! This is the account of my eventful trip to OKC. Saturday - May 15th. Jump out of bed. Today is the day! I am practically bursting with excitement because I am finally on my way to visit my Sister in OKC to meet her precious baby girl, Cosette Mae (Cosi Mae). Finally an orange line train pull...

alli in transition: Discoveries
http://allimcv.blogspot.com/2011/02/discoveries.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. Spaghetti squash is incredible! I think I could eat it everyday (at least if this week is an indicator of anything). Running is HARD. I feel I should start another blog about a faux-runner training for a half marathon. I suppose if it were easier, it would not be half as rewarding. March 11, 2011 at 7:51 AM. alli in transition: December 2009
http://allimcv.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 15, 2009. I think I have taken for granted all of the wonderful, warm and fuzzy Christmas classics I get to experience each year. Frosty, Rudolph, Yogi Bear, the Grinch, Charlie Brown(even) Ernest saves Christmas (anyone? These animated/claymation gems have been part of each of my (now) 24 Christmases. I can't even remember the first time I saw each of these - they have always been present. Would you believe that my beloved roommate has not seen. Of the above mentioned holiday staples?

alli in transition: April 2010
http://allimcv.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 28, 2010. So, this morning I went to the Starbucks right across from my building with my dear friend at work. When I walked in the doors, out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw someone that looked familiar, but could not put my finger on it. Followed immediately by, "Come on, Alli. Don't be. Girl Grow up - get over yourself. You were classmates and friends". So, I walk over and tap one on the shoulder, while smiling at and saying hello to the others. The one I tapped turns arou...

alli in transition: Bardo - Coffee House
http://allimcv.blogspot.com/2010/12/bardo-coffee-house.html
Friday, December 3, 2010. Bardo - Coffee House. A new favorite coffee shop just down the street from me. Their coconut lattes are keeping this unmotivated girl caffeinated and functioning. Walking to a coffee shop makes me feel like I am in Chicago. Well, I don't know how the 68 degrees in December fits into that. But, you get the idea. Labels: cell phone photos. Cant wait to go there with you sometime :). March 11, 2011 at 7:53 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bardo - Coffee House.
