Blogging in the Ohio 12th. Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Gigi and Grandad Get the Tour. Gigi and Grandad came for a visit and we took them on some sight seeing expeditions. Here we are feeding the ducks at Schiller Park. They really liked The Book Loft. And our favorite Jeni's Ice Cream. They wanted to see where PD works so we went down town to the Statehouse. Blogging in the Ohio 12th. Wednesday, October 10, 2012. After breakfast I would have loved to take the opportunity to send the girls out with PD while I did some shopping or deep cleaning, but I fought that temptation and joined them for a lovely hike. Two deer ran right across our path, but I do not have a picture of that because it happened so fast. We saw a lot of birds. We saw a whole tree full of bluebirds. Blogging in the Ohio 12th. Saturday, November 19, 2011. I am becoming more and more passionate about teaching our kids theology through the practices of our lives. This is how young Jewish children were brought up in the faith. Daily, weekly and holiday practices re-enforced the stories and tenants of their faith. I believe our theology shapes our practice and if we don't know our theology, how can we live righteous lives? We also had a craft time and learned the Five Solas. Sunday, November 13, 2011.

Blogging in the Ohio 12th. Friday, July 13, 2012. Thursday, July 12, 2012. We Celebrate PD's Birthday. We took PD out for dinner to a fancy restaurant for his birthday. We ate outside with a view of downtown and of these fountains. I gave him this commemorative decanter of one of the former governors of our state. We kind of have an inside joke about this governor, but no one else would get it of course. I took pictures of everyone's food because it was so pretty. I ordered this bacon wrapped shrimp.

Blogging in the Ohio 12th. Sunday, August 26, 2012. Born to be Wild. Gram and Papa bought a membership to The Wilds. This summer and treated us to the most amazing safari adventure! It was the perfect day for it. Really chilly for August, but just what you would want for a two hour open car safari. Ready to spot the wild animals! Dromedary camel and baby dromedary! I don't remember what these were.African cows? Awesome family picture someone took of us at one of the lookout points:. Up, Up and Away.
