Sunday, October 3, 2010. Shopping Closer to Home. I've referred to Kalamazoo, Michigan as the Mecca of consignment shops. I do believe that the number and quality of shops in K'zoo rivals any other community within driving distance of my home; however, there are a couple shops I visited on Saturday. PS- at an antique show in Allegan a month ago, I found some long ORANGE gloves to go with my turquoise swing coat, so I can look like a walking Howard Johnson's sign.
