Back to sewing and other things. | Through the Eye of a Needle
https://rejoyceblog.wordpress.com/2013/08/25/back-to-sewing-and-other-things
Through the Eye of a Needle. Sharing my love of sewing, quilting and knitting. Back to sewing and other things. I haven’t been sewing much, but I have been knitting. I have been working on the Mr. Darcy sweater for my husband. I am knitting it out of one of my favorite yarns Beaverslide. It will be a heavy, warm sweater and I can’t wait to get it done. I really need to sew for myself. I am plus-size and very hard to fit. Butterick 5300. I will post a picture when I am done. Being productive feels so good!

Through the Eye of a Needle. Sharing my love of sewing, quilting and knitting. A few days ago I finished the Plus Size Sassy Apron. A super easy pattern. I did not like or follow the directions. Aprons are so easy you almost don’t need a pattern! Here is my new apron! This entry was posted on July 12, 2013, in Sewing. Back to sewing and other things. →. 3 thoughts on “ A new apron. Through the Eye of a Needle. Sharing my love of sewing, quilting and knitting. Being productive feels so good! Sewing, knitting and some quilting are some of the things I love to do best. These are things I can do now. Being productive really helps your outlook. I am so thankful my mom and grandmother taught me to do these things. I am slowly picking up speed and doing more and more in the sewing room. It feels so good! Here is the blouse:. This entry was posted on September 13, 2013, in Sewing. Address ...

Strings of Purls: My Favorite Kitchen Tool
http://stringsofpurls.blogspot.com/2014/10/my-favorite-kitchen-tool.html
Saturday, October 25, 2014. My Favorite Kitchen Tool. With fall here and the polar vortex approaching, my favorite tool. Will come into play more and more. The Fagor 3 in 1 Multicooker is so handy. I love that I can brown in this, then switch to crockpot or pressure cooking mode, eliminating extra dishes. It has so many uses and takes up hardly any room, replacing other items in my kitchen. My crockpot and rice cooker have been relegated to the basement. It is such a time saver. Baby Needs a Scarf. A Fri...
Strings of Purls: Brain Tumor Surprise
http://stringsofpurls.blogspot.com/2015/03/brain-tumor-surprise.html
Thursday, March 5, 2015. Well, If you think I have fallen off the map, you are right. You see, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, had a craniotomy for partial resection and now am undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. The outlook is good, but face it, brain tumor is never good news. I will write more later, but that is where I've been. Prayers appreciated. And yes, I have been knitting, though with challenges. March 9, 2015 at 1:23 PM. Thanks for visiting my blog! Life and ministry in a big place. June 26, 2013. A church growing in the woods. Out in western Alaska there flows a slow, meandering river. This is the place Don Ernst and his family have called home for more than two decades. Well, most of them, anyway. Don and Brenda’s children have grown and their two sons are thousands of miles away, but their daughter and son-in-law live here in Huslia, keeping the Ernsts well supplied with visits from grandchildren. In a couple of months the air will cool, leaves w...

Life and ministry in a big place. Monthly Archives: May 2013. May 28, 2013. All day Tuesday the water has been holding literally inches below the top of the dike. If the water raises a bit more it will begin spilling over and quickly erode the earthen wall, flooding what little is left operational in the town (though water and electricity have been shut off and nearly all residents evacuated). If you want to learn more, Google “Galena” and you’ll find an abundance of information. Thank you for praying.
