Hooray! | Punctuated Equilibrium - by rekha murthy
https://rekha6.wordpress.com/2008/11/06/hooray
Punctuated Equilibrium – by rekha murthy. Sometimes moving forward, sometimes letting it all sink in. November 6, 2008. I watched CNN, PBS, Current TV, BET, Fox News, and The Daily Show. I tracked Facebook statuses and Twitter updates. I piled my friends into the car and drove around Central and Harvard Squares, honking my horn and cheering out the pent-up frustration of the past eight years. And then, I checked this Web site. 2 Responses to “Hooray! November 6, 2008 at 9:59 am. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Punctuated Equilibrium – by rekha murthy. Sometimes moving forward, sometimes letting it all sink in. Reflections from a Candlelight Vigil. December 4, 2008. At the bus stop next to the vigil, a bus pulled up. Along the top were images of coffee beans, an Indian man… it was an Incredible India. Ad I tugged the sleeve of the man next to me, needing a witness. His eyes lit up. After the service, I lined up to write my ‘message to Mumbai’ in a book provided by the organizers. Potatoes — Les pommes de terre | La Tartine Gourmande
http://www.latartinegourmande.com/2008/12/03/stuffed-potatoes-mushrooms-potato-soup
Potatoes — Les pommes de terre. December 3, 2008. My mother taught me that homemade food. Is the norm — I don’t even question it. At home, we never ate take-outs, simply because they did not exist — and how could they, in a small village in rural France, nearly thirty years ago? For us, the rule was simple: our meals were always prepared by mum, and it still continues to this day in my parents household. She feeds her love to us through her homemade food. My mum also taught me that modest dishes. The who...
ear crack: wordless music
http://earcrack.blogspot.com/2008/06/wordless-music.html
Comment-link {margin-left:.6em;}. A crack in your ear through which sound surreptitiously slips, or an illicit substance which gives your ears immense pleasure while enslaving them to a crippling addiction. Thursday, June 05, 2008. The four-hour radio series I made about the Wordless Music concerts in New York is airing this month on WNYC. You can listen to it here. The shows are music/documentary hybrids, with pieces that support the live performances and explore some of the issues that the concert seri...

Yet another feminist mothering blog. Sunday, August 3, 2008. Wow - long time no write. Well, long time no write on this blog, though some decent work done on The Big Project and periodic long-winded comments written on other blogs (especially the addictive offsprung.com - nice people! They're now L and me, fer crissake. Recognizing that you are becoming someone else's subconscious forces is the very essence of the psychedelic acid trip that is parenthood. Is generally "Gween."). Yet another feminist mothering blog. Tuesday, June 17, 2008. He's the happy daddy and he's also the dog! Title of today's post brought to you courtesy of my new favorite Telly sketch on Sesame Street, "Happy Family." Song goes, "I'm the happy mommy! I'm the happy kid! I'm the happy daddy, and I'm also - the dog! He's the happy daddy, and he's also the dog! Our happy daddy isn't also the dog. Thank god for that! Posted by mutter mutter. Yet another feminist mothering blog. Tuesday, June 10, 2008. I write this in full knowledge of the fact that I will be desperate for the love-smooshing at some point in the not-so-distant future, when I feel like he's not interested in hugging at all anymore and I will tell him "remember when you were a baby and you cried so much whenever I tried to put you down on the ground because you just wanted me to hold you all the time? Yet another feminist mothering blog. Thursday, May 29, 2008. The great generational liberal white woman divide. Can you believe the way they're disenfranchising Florida and Michigan? And this thing about Robert Kennedy. It's ridiculous that they're making such a big deal about this.". Hmm I guess so, but you know.". I don't know why they're in such a hurry to get rid of her. She should stay in the campaign for as long as she wants.". Posted by mutter mutter. Saturday, May 24, 2008. Posted by mutter mutter.

Yet another feminist mothering blog. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Basically indestructible and won't break down. I'm using tons of toys from, again, my own distant childhood and look forward to passing them on when D is done with them. They are not as charming to me as the wooden toys. But D doesn't seem to mind, and his is really the more important opinion. Plus I don't have to buy as much, which works for me. Posted by mutter mutter. Friday, April 25, 2008. Mommies on the move. Go, go, go! Get the led out.

Eternal love …. May 26, 2016. I still remember when I first saw him ,. I still remember the first hypnotic gaze of his eyes. I still remember when I first broke in his arms. I still remember when I gave my soul to him. I still remember each and every moment spend so lovely with him. But I didn’t remember one thing is that .who am I? This evil is taking away my every moment from me …. As the time passes I am forced to surrender myself to this evil. It is possible that one day I ‘ll not recognise you.
