Menopause - Love Being Me

For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. Posted on 18 June 2015 at 8:02 pm. I’m 48 and I’m forgetting things. I forget what I walked out the room to get. I want to use one word and another word comes out even when I can see the word I want in my minds eye. I have days when I wake up with a sense of doom. I can’t put it any other way…doom and dread that everyone I love with somehow be taken from me. Have you noticed any changes in yourself? Have you noticed any changes in your friend/partner?

Transmitting or receiving? - Love Being Me
http://www.lovebeingme.co.uk/blog/uncategorized/transmitting-or-receiving
For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. Posted on 20 May 2015 at 5:28 am. So, after a long spell dealing with things down the bottom of Maslow (which still need attention)…the early mornings and longer nights do seem to be finally having an effect. And that urge seemed to have gone. I like my work, I love my kids, friends and family and I have my health. That’s enough. And as I reflected more I saw that of course it’s not just about what I. But about who I. She wakes up in the morning and &#...

In Praise of Football - Love Being Me

For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. In Praise of Football. Posted on 25 July 2015 at 9:58 am. This is a blog I never thought I would write. I was going to have daughters. As a rampant feminist in my 20s I had ordered girl children only. I was going to be colouring in butterflies with gel pens, going to ballet classes, and brushing hair into plaits. I can do all of these things. A missed business opportunity – someone could make a fortune selling hot drinks to soggy parents on local...

We don't see the last times coming
http://www.lovebeingme.co.uk/blog/uncategorized/last-time
For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone- or how we don’t see the last time coming. Posted on 4 July 2015 at 9:32 pm. We were packing up to leave from our Easter holiday and I noticed the kids talking about ‘next time…’. So sure were they that there would be a ‘next time’ in that place…but will there be? They talked about ‘next time’ when we went to Butlins (no sniggering now) over 4 years ago and yet we’ve not been back. And with our children, th...

Malsow's hierarchy of needs - Love Being Me
http://www.lovebeingme.co.uk/blog/uncategorized/malsows-hierarchy-of-needs
For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. Malsow’s hierarchy of needs. Posted on 4 May 2015 at 8:02 pm. This is just a quickie as I’ve not been in much of a writing mood. I know it will come back again, it’s just not here now much. I put it down to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Writing for me is ‘self actualizing’ ie being the best of myself and bringing my unique skills and talents to the world. Over the years I’ve learned that. To do stuff I usually enjoy just makes life exhausting. When I.

We all need to be held - Love Being Me
http://www.lovebeingme.co.uk/blog/general/we-all-need-to-be-held
For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. We all need to be held. Posted on 8 June 2015 at 9:35 pm. We have a puppy. It’s like having a new baby. We’re getting up in the night to let him out and he needs carrying when we go out as he hasn’t had his jabs yet. Here he is inspiring me to write this. He could of course sit on the floor as I write, but it’s lovely to have him on my lap. Helping me write tonight. We all need to be held. We all need to hold. Who holds you emotionally? I can’t d...

Book Shelf - Love Being Me
http://www.lovebeingme.com/book
For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. I love books so I’ve been writing books to share what I know to help you on your way to the life you want to lead. Gender, Deviance and Exclusion. This is my PhD thesis about the importance of emotion in schools and the imperative for adults and young people to form ‘real’ relationships based on unconditional positive regard. The models and concepts within are also relevant to parents and other adults working with children and young people. They all co...

What Makes a Good Team?
http://www.lovebeingme.co.uk/blog/uncategorized/what-makes-a-good-team
For you and your family. 106;ulie@lovebeingme.co.uk. What makes a good team? Posted on 1 August 2015 at 5:48 am. I’m on holiday. I love holidays as I seem to have more time to stop and stare. We’ve returned to the same place on holiday; partly for the sun and sea, but also because of the people who run the Alter Ego cafe in Agistri. As you read through have a think about some of the teams you are involved with at work or personally and see if there are similarities. They say ‘yes’ a lot. There is no top ...
