I spin with fleece, hair and various fibres, some synthetic and/or recylced. Here are some of my experiments. My stash, dyed and undyed. Merino wool, silk noils and Angelina glitter. Dorset horn - undyed. Falkland Merino, random mixed tone colours. Merino wool, Tussah silk and silk throwsters waste batts. Drum carder for making batts. I dye with vegetable and also acid dyes. I especially love to work with colour and texture. Dyeing day - acid dyes. Yarn stash - acid dyes. Yarns dyed with blackberries.

About My Textile Art. I grew up in a dressmaking family with the touch and feel of textiles. I made clothes for myself and my dolls. I could knit. Before I learned to read or write; and have been doing so ever since. I spin and dye. My own yarns and am exploring different fibres, including recycled materials. I am excited by colour and texture, fabric and fibre. My work is usually media led; often abstract. I knit with plastic carrier bags. Combine papier maché. With fibre, knitting.
