A blog of my daily ramblings. Monday, November 10, 2008. What's the best breakfast you can ask for on a cold Monday morning? It's a fresh-from-the-oven croissant! This morning I had a warm, buttery, flaky croissant for breakfast. I bought a box of frozen croissants and took one of them out to proof overnight. Then I set the oven timer so that the croissant would finish baking when I needed to leave the house to go to work. It was the best way to start my week off! Friday, November 07, 2008.

Dinner consisted of a 2000 Merlot, a beautiful USDA prime NY steak, and porcini mushroom ravioli. Dessert consisted of the best chocolate in the world. Yes, I had a terrific evening. A blog of my daily ramblings. Monday, January 28, 2008. My menu was very ambitious last night:. Salt and pepper fish fillet. Fish soup with 5-spice tofu. A Macau dish of fried potatoes and minced pork. Sauteed large pee sprouts with button mushrooms. Roasted duck (from the supermarket). It took me much longer to do all the prep than I thought it would and my real cooking didn't even get started until 6:30pm.
