Groceries in the dark. On March 12, 2008 by reluctantbat. I saw my wife and daughter briefly in the morning and evening on days I worked. On days off I saw them more but felt I had little energy to spare for them. I knew the schedule was bad for me, but when my wife encouraged me to quit, despite the lack of a ready alternative, it became very clear that it was hard for her, too. Too hard.
