Working in a museum. There is the opportunity for involvement in some interesting projects. Here are a few images taken during the lifting of a fossil Plesiosaur 188 million years old from the North Somerset coast. First thing is to find it! We new the general area but the loose sand left by the tide made this difficult. Complete specimen quite clearly seen once the loose sand is washed away. The best looking guy on the team earning his pay with a 10inch. Blocks ready for lifting.

Moved house in 2011 and here is the progress so far in the new workshops. If you want a look at the old place click here. Woodwork shop in the barn which is fine in the summer but a bit chilly in the winter. Plenty of space though. Had to get this in working order as there was plenty of woodworking to do refurbishing the new place. I say 'new' but it is actually a 17th century Somerset Long House. Most people my age retire to a bungalow at the seaside!
