The Remembering Julia Trust (tRJt) was set up after Julia died in August 2009 from AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia). Since we became a registered charity in November 2009 we have raised money through a variety of fundraising events to provide new facilities and complimentary therapy treatments for Leukaemia and blood cancer patients at University College London Hospital.

Kaaren leaves behind her devoted husband, Charles Khalil; five children, Leila, Jacque, Monika, Kellee, and Jirard; and two grandchildren, Patrick and Londyn. For the past 15 years Kaaren. Had battled with Frontal Temporal Dementia (also known as Pick's disease) and is the longest living case of the disease. She is now at peace.
