Remembering Mom

Sunday, December 4, 2011. Mom's Favorite Time of the Year. I am not sure how to start this post but I do know that I want to write and need to write, about my mom. It is close to Christmas; a few weeks away. THIS is my mother's favorite time of the year. She loved Christmas, lived to make the holiday a little brighter for all her family. Another thing that Mom did around Thanksgiving, maybe a little before Thanksgiving, was to put up her Christmas decorations. She loved having her lights up! I also remem...

Remembering Mom: Birds

http://rememberingkathyhurlburt.blogspot.com/2011/02/birds.html

Wednesday, February 23, 2011. I also miss asking you about things, any thing. You always knew the answer to my questions or knew how I could find them out. I also miss taking care of you, miss being there to look over something that you wanted me to look over for you. I miss bringing in the wood for you, shoveling for you, bringing in the groceries for you, buying your milk, helping you in any way that I could. I miss doing stuff for you. I miss you. You are always on my mind Mom. I love you.

Remembering Mom: May 2011

Sunday, May 8, 2011. For Mom on Mother's Day. You are my mother, Catherine Josephine Cormier Hurlburt (8-10). I am your daughter, Debra Ann Hurlburt (10-8). Our birth days form a circle that is infinite 8-10-10-8, they are connected. I love that you are my mother. I am proud to say that you are my mother. I see myself in you, my mother. I love and miss you more than you can ever know, my mother. My life is richer because you are my mother. Marcel Paul and Marie were there to fix the garage roof because l...

Remembering Mom: November 2011

http://rememberingkathyhurlburt.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 9, 2011. I do know that my mother would be so pissed off at me for the slowness in healing from this loss, and she would tell me that I better get moving with myself or she was going to kick me in the ass to get me moving. But this is all for now; short, to the point, and with the knowledge that more is to come to help me heal my soul. More to come to tell about my wonderful, loving, beautiful, compassionate, funny, giving, generous, strong, creative, forgiving mother.

Remembering Mom: One Year Later

http://rememberingkathyhurlburt.blogspot.com/2011/07/one-year-later.html

Monday, July 25, 2011. I could start by saying everything that I have wished for this past year but that would take too long so I will only put in the top few that have continually come into my head. I wish that this had been a bad, very bad dream, a nightmare in fact. But I realize that it is not. I wish so many things. But I also found out alot on this journey. A journey, that everyone must travel on at some point. And you have given me many things mom. Many great memories that are my lifeline to y...

Continuing On For Her. When Kayla came in the door early the next morning she was beaming from having had such a wonderful time that evening. She said it was the "best time of her life". I remember breathing a wonderful sigh of relief that she was home at last safe and sound. That was thirteen days before the accident that claimed her life. The picture was the last I would ever take of her. Welcome to Kayla's Website. We are so glad you dropped by to visit our site. Please have a look around. Reserved fo...
