Grew up under a USMC Raider who survived Midway; Guadalcanal; Iwo Jima; and, Okinawa; the US Marine Corps awarded him 2 Silver Stars and after WWII, he separated from the Corps as a Colonel. A place on the internet to mark the 350th birthday of Roger Kay, who re-founded Bury Grammar School in 1726, and to reflect on the past, present and future of the institution to which he gave both endowment and constitution. The portrait excerpted on the right in black and white was a gift to the School in 1804 by John Nuttall, a Kay descendant and trustee, and hangs in Roger Kay Hall.
