Please be advised that when customers are abusive to staff or there are incidents that are outside of the normal course of business, there are two measures to take:. 1 Document the telephone number and details about the person on the TR pad. This will help to keep track of problem patrons. 2 Write and submit an incident report. This is the tool which allows us to suspend customers from receiving library services. We had a collection agency asking for personal opinions about a child’s page so they could decide if they would be successful getting money from the parents. Same answer. “This is beyond the scope of our service and I have to move on to the next patron.”. When patrons ask you to go to a website, be sure to Google it first and decide if it is appropriate.
