Learning 2 Breathe: Self-improvement vs. Self-acceptance
http://l2breathe.blogspot.com/2015/02/self-improvement-vs-self-acceptance.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. Self-improvement vs. Self-acceptance. I shared a talk I gave at church a few weeks ago and in that talk I shared how I love self-improvement books. But as I was preparing I had a sudden thought, "should we be working on self-improvement or self-acceptance? After pondering self-improvement vs. self-acceptance and reading various articles online I see that both are important, but I do feel like having self-acceptance first will benefit anyone before tackling self-improvemen...

Elder Adam McBarron: August 2012
http://eldermcbarron.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 27, 2012. 8/28/12 email from São Mateus. So this week I got my birthday package and loved everything that was in there and my companion as well. I really liked the Star Wars stuff and the bacon tie. Also, thanks for the BBQ sauce, we are definitely enjoying that. My birthday was pretty great this year and last here on the mission. It is really cool here to be getting to know pretty much the whole city like the back of my hand just like I did with the last area where I stayed for a long time.

Monday, March 25, 2013. 3/25/13 Email From Vitória. I am actually still a little bit sick, but a lot better than I was. This week we had a major rain fall and now part of our house is pretty much destroyed. I took some pictures of the flooding that happened here. The most spiritual part of the week was yesterday when we gave our investigator a Priesthood Blessing. He wasn't at church so we went over to visit him and he was sick. We gave him a blessing and it was just a really good experience. I've been h...

Learning 2 Breathe: Looking for Peace
http://l2breathe.blogspot.com/2015/07/looking-for-peace.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. Since my anxiety started around 2005 or 2006, I haven't felt much peace. A few years later was when I had my first full-blown panic attack, then later I started therapy and so on to now. Also, as I have been working through these latest childhood issues, I had wondered what I wanted at the end of this, what am I looking for? What word would you look for? Labels: A is for Accept. Learning 2 Breathe: December 2014
http://l2breathe.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Our Stake President pointed out that he wasn't saying there was anything specific, he just felt very impressed to remind us all to be prepared for whatever may come whether it be financial, physical or spiritual challenges, to do all that we can to be prepared. Several weeks ago I had come across this quote from Elder L. Tom Perry that I had highlighted and it goes right along with this:. I also really loved this quote from President Ezra Taft Benson:.
