Many of his books were made into successful films. The perfect wine to accompany our light, early Spring lunch. Home made quiche with a perfectly browned top. This orange and citron tart was a great finish.

It was just last weekend that we in Ribérac hosted 'Le Grand Souk', the towns answer to three days of peace, love and a jolly good time over the high summer period. The weather this year of 2011 remained distinctly changeable but despite this the turnout was enormous and seems to grow year by year. Beautifully formed in aluminium, easy to imagine gliding down Route 66.

In my opinion every kitchen should carry a copy of this. Time to get cracking with some of our locally gathered walnuts. Everything ready to go. If you'd like to try out this recipe you will require-. 180g unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing. 2-3 tbsp cold water. Crème fraîche, to serve.
