Anime Epicuriosity: August 2010
http://animepicuriosity.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Reviews of anime and manga from a Cal State Long Beach graduate. Thursday, August 26, 2010. No movie rentals for a while.again. Well, I thought I was going to sign up for a movie rental service, until the Rhapsody music service charged me a hidden fee of $144. I really thought I was signed off of the service, but the stupid company reminded me that I wasn't. And hopefully Netflix can think of something cheaper for me to deal with, because I hate these extra payments. Links to this post. In short, I miss ...

Moetic Justice: Japan '08: Finale
http://moeticjustice.blogspot.com/2010/02/japan-08-finale.html
Saturday, February 27, 2010. It's taken quite a while to get through my Japan travelogue. I'm tempted to chalk up the delays to wistful feelings about the trip never truly ending until I finish writing about it, but the real fault is more plain laziness. Anime, which was a strange and disturbing effect. Eventually, I recovered. Almost lost interest in moe? Too bad you didnt have a moe nurse to come look after you! I did lose interest in moe, if only for a week or so! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Moetic Justice: April 2011
http://moeticjustice.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 11, 2011. The magical girl show has been a well-defined genre of anime since the mid-1960s and Mahou-tsukai Sally. The conventions of mahou shoujo. Anime- a young girl is given supernatural powers by a mascot animal from another world, in order to fight supervillains and protect her home town- have become so thoroughly ossified that hardly anyone thought to question the implications. Aren't magical girls child soldiers? Those inscrutable, beady-eyed magical pets thinking? Is instantly recog...

Wednesday, January 07, 2009. Japan '08: Ghibli Museum. Studio Ghibli, of Totoro. Fame, operates a small museum on the outskirts of Tokyo, on the edge of Inokashira Park in Mitaka. The Ghibli Bijutsukan. Robot in the photo lives) are landscaped with a chaotic half-wild mix of ferns, grass and trees. Access to the...

Moetic Justice: October 2010
http://moeticjustice.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 10, 2010. Day once again, and while I've been slacking off a bit on new anime viewing, I have managed to watch all of K-On! The recently concluded sequel to 2009's high-end moe musical school comedy, K-On! The transition between the two series was essentially invisible: designs, animation, music and voice acting all carried over seamlessly. Bandai Entertainment. Among new or upcoming moe. Shows, Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. My Little Sister Can't Be this Cute.
