Discovering Peru one story at a time. January 11, 2014. A Day at the Museum. On this glorious Saturday morning, I had the pleasure of visiting the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum. Discovering Peru one story at a time. January 8, 2014. The Downtown Lima Experience. After that sensory barrage, it was time for some quiet and reflection. And what better way to do that but enter a church. In this case, the Church of San Francisco. In Lima. The church, which was completed in 1774, is an example of Spanish Baroque architecture. It was breathtaking and beautifully maintained. I would have never thought that it was damaged by the earthquake in 1970. Of Lima (a.k.a Plaza Mayor). To the intr...

While we were vacationing in California, Malley's brother's girlfriend had a Wii and I finally got to play Mario Kart. I used to play Mario Kart on Super Nintendo back in the day so it was a real treat. Two days after returning from vaca we decided we needed our own Wii with Mario Kart. It's real fun! As a result of the snow storm, I was looking for some new music on iTunes.
