Repotting the Family Tree

Repotting the Family Tree. Saturday, September 15, 2012. Religious Persecution, or why we should all just suck it up. There has been a very disturbing trend on facebook lately, and I felt the need to respond in kind, but there was not room enough in that forum, so I though I would move my thoughts here. As deeply saddened as I was to learn of these events, it was not until later when discovering the particular reactions of some family and friends made me physically ill. Repotting the Family Tree: Happy Easter

http://www.repottingthefamilytree.blogspot.com/2011/04/happy-easter.html

Repotting the Family Tree. Sunday, April 24, 2011. The last few days have been pretty funny, in very different ways. My son is adorable. All in all, we had an okay Easter, and at the end of it of course is the realization of why we celebrate it at all. And in case you're wondering, yes my headache did go away, but only for a day. It was worth it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Awesome Inc. template. Template images by molotovcoketail.

Repotting the Family Tree: April 2010

http://www.repottingthefamilytree.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Repotting the Family Tree. Monday, April 12, 2010. The kids have new schedules at school, Zoe spends half the day in 3rd grade and half the day in 5th, and Jimmy splits his time between kindergarten and 1st. Since this started she's been happier and he's stopped acting up so I think it's a really good thing. They're just too smart for their own good. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Repotting the Family Tree: December 2011

http://www.repottingthefamilytree.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Repotting the Family Tree. Tuesday, December 13, 2011. I don't actually have time to blog today, making this no different from the preceding weeks and months. However what DOES make today different is that I am very sick. and at work. These two things combine to keep me awake and yet not altogether mentally aware. Thusly I'm taking a break from making large tax payments with other people's money to update my blog. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Repotting the Family Tree. Thursday, May 20, 2010. I've been told I don't post enough (read:any) pictures. Well I'm sorry. If I knew how to use the camera, I would. If you're wondering why I would buy a camera I can't figure out, ask the person who picked it. Which, in case you were wondering, isn't me. Plus, if I'm the one taking the pictures, I'm only in them if I want to be, so its better for everyone. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Repotting the Family Tree: July 2010

http://www.repottingthefamilytree.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Repotting the Family Tree. Saturday, July 17, 2010. Hang on, I need to find the camera. And the cord. And figure out how to do this. Would you believe it's been 2 days since I wrote the title of this post? I won't bore you with the details of my life the last few weeks, I went to Utah (which is another post) and left my kids with my wonderful parents and Chris and I have been left to our own devices for 18 days. Let me just say that we are very different people without children. This is a Zoe's 3rd grade...

ruminations: January 2010

http://pwells1997.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 7, 2010. This Christmas we had a houseful of monkeys! Three - Holly, Sam, and Max, who live with us (and their parents) and two more - Zoe and Jim, who came to stay for nine days over the holidays. Oh, and they brought their parents, too. So, eleven people in our little house. But Christmas was so fun! You just can't have Christmas without kids around. Christmas morning, the presents so overwhelmed the tree that they spilled all over into the living room. Max and Grandpa playing around.

And where is the pavilion that covereth thy hiding place? How long shall thy hand be stayed, and thine eye, yea thy pure eye, behold from the eternal heavens the wrongs of thy people and thy servants, and thine ears be penetrated with their cries? I think of the inspiration that Tim Guatier was to me and to ...

While attempting to cut Max's hair and being in a hurry I did not secure the comb on the buzzers as well as I would have liked. Me (looking at the long bald line I had just created across Max's head): Hey Max how would you like to be bald like daddy? Sam after his baptism. Family photos are by our favorite photographers Gallery Photography. Thursday, August 8, 2013. So we have had an unusual family situation for the past 3 years. Rob has been really sick mentally. He has been making progress and so we decided to try a family trip. All of us in the same car (including Annie) went to Yellowstone. Ambitious yes but totally successful. There were a couple of rough patches and some time without Rob while he calmed his brain but we did it. My first reaction was horror until I re...

Family photos are by our favorite photographers Gallery Photography. Monday, June 22, 2015. Pictures in the rain. It rained and rained. Finally there was what appeared to be a break and we drove to the trail to take pictures. The lull didn't last long and we were soaked before we finished. They were tough and adventurous though. This is Sam's suave pose. This is Holly's "o.k. mom time to go" face. Happy Father's Day to my dear husband. You are an amazing husband and father. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

What’s this all about? Reflections on six months well spent. But the title of that leadership book “What got you here won’t get you there” – or something like that – is a good reminder.
