17th Thing: Part i the questions. – Research abc

https://researchabc.wordpress.com/2016/11/21/17th-thing-part-i-the-questions

Ldquo;Trying to keep learning” Me. 17th Thing: Part i the questions. November 21, 2016. As I am not at Cambridge I am not able to get the Qualtrics free account and after looking at both Qualtrics and Survey Monkey I found that both offered similar free options, but Survey Monkey was easier to sign up to- they let you use google and don’t require a phone number. I have therefore used Survey Monkey as I am trying to reduce my random accounts on the internet. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are commenting ...

18th Thing – Research abc

https://researchabc.wordpress.com/2016/11/21/18th-thing

Ldquo;Trying to keep learning” Me. November 21, 2016. After a PhD one would hope to have accumulated at least some data management skills, and so it seems I have, some at any rate. When I left I ensured that all of my data was saved to a communal drive, which I lost access to but which my supervisors and colleagues could still access. I tried to reorganise it into folders which would make sense to them and (with my supervisors permission) I saved the most relevant parts to a data sticks. Leave a Reply Ca...

20th Thing – Research abc

https://researchabc.wordpress.com/2016/12/11/20th-thing

Ldquo;Trying to keep learning” Me. December 11, 2016. December 11, 2016. Data presentation for me has been a combination of slide shows to accompany talks, posters and papers. These allow different amounts of detail to be shown and need different amounts of clarity. I have had a play with easel.ly, it doesn’t require sign up and it seems pretty straight forward to use and keep things in a consistent theme. December 16, 2016 at 11:18 am. 21st Thing – Research abc

https://researchabc.wordpress.com/2016/12/11/21st-thing

Ldquo;Trying to keep learning” Me. December 11, 2016. I already had an ORCID ID as it was required by a publisher, it is a helpful idea and can link to other similar IDs like Loop. I have now got a google scholar check, this was pretty straight forward. I have downloaded Zotero but I am not sure I will use it that much as it pretty much duplicates Mendeley which I already use and have lots of stuff saved with. I really like the Mendeley tagging feature allowing me to note on articles what they contain.
