A Philly Guide to Different Running Trails. The Witches Hat Trail. June 10, 2014. The trail is located off of 422 in Exeter Township, just outside of Reading, PA. To get there simply turn left at the intersection for the Exeter Target. Go down the road about a mile and you will see a large sign for the trail entrance. If you cross over the Schuylkill River you have gone too far. Coming back down the mountain is obviously much faster, and can be quite fun! 1 hour away from the city. Ridley Creek State Park.
